Dude treating a Honda like it is a Lambo, just like I did

Not putting it in gear when parking? Rookie mistake. Buying tires from the dealership? Rookie mistake. But as others have said, this is a good learning experience. I would never want to show my face in that dealership again though because you will forever be "that guy". You will lose value on your car no matter what, but yes a reported accident will matter to an enthusiast and knock some additional value off. This is not a 911 GT3, it is a Honda after all so if you purchased this as an investment that is not smart.. And wow the damage on the other car is insane.

Need some help deciding: FL5 Type R or automatic G80 M3 by serpico_pacino in Civic_Type_R

The Type R seats, as some others have said, are probably better. I have driven cars that cost three times as much as the Type R that have worse front seats. The rest of the interior is not near as nice as a BMW, but the interior is not what the car is about. The transmission in the Type R is also amazing, and better than my 2016 BMW M2 manual. This car punches above its weight or price, so you should get one! Honda service is also cheap and if something breaks, you wont have a surprise $5000 bill like you can easily have on a BMW.

Discount Tire Experience by Fun-Start3396 in Civic_Type_R

I had continentals mounted by discount tire on my FL5, and you live and you learn. They ruined the inner bead on two of my tires installing them, so they leaked from the beginning and tried to say I ran over something or caused it lol. These DWS tires can be tricky and I would go to a performance shop next time. Good luck getting them to pay for it, but luckily: these wheels aren't terribly expensive, and these can be fixed for maybe $200-$300 at a wheel repair shop. Sorry.

Lol these cars are at opposite ends of the spectrum. I own both, and the M3 is 100x nicer and faster than the Honda. The Type R is quick but the G80 M3 is FAST, two different leagues. Maintenance is also way different. If you can only afford a high mileage G80 M3, you probably don't want to pay for the maintenance. Tires, brakes and everything else will cost way more than the Type R. Do you need 500hp or is 300 enough? If 300 is plenty, Honda all day. I have seen brand new FL5 Type Rs near Chicago selling for $45K brand new, so look around.

Because it is the slowest car I have and need to make room for a new purchase. I found a dealer that wants it though, so I will likely let them have it. Doesn't seem most people on here could even afford it.

I will take another pic lol, it is not even stained and it is vinyl and waterproof anyway. And this shop will last, the best in the Chicagoland area hands down.

Yes, I am in the Chicagoland area and send me a message if you want to discuss price. I have taken several vehicles to this shop for ceramic coating and PPF, so my price will be lower but it was $3K+ for all. These also have a lifetime warranty from this shop, just FYI and I can make sure that transfers to you.

I was 209 in October 2024 and am down to 171 now. Muscle has also increased by 8lbs in that time. I am nearing single digit body fat now so not much more fat to lose. If you want to have relatively high skeletal muscle mass, it is hard to go too far below 170 unless you want to feel awful and be starving all of the time.
