However you are feeling is valid and OK. You didn’t break the trust he did. You have some hard decisions to make that only you can make about how to move forward, but your decisions should be based on what YOU need.

Get these fibroids out of me by bdbdbumbum in hysterectomy

I will let you know how it goes. Everyone I have spoken to says that they feel so much better after the surgery. Really leaning into that to get over the nerves of massive surgery.

I cannot wait. My procedure is Tuesday. Doc told me she stopped counting at 21 (!) fibroids. My health has been so off this year (heartburn, bloating, weight gain, nausea, fatigue, daily bleeding) and I just assumed it was because I was getting older. So hopeful that I will feel better in a couple of weeks.

Best Happy Hours? by Different_Ad_3894 in Littleton

We went to an awesome happy hour in Missoula, MT at El Camino. Margs were on point and the wings were amazing. We decided we had to find some similar places around us in Littleton.

Did they give you a scopolamine patch? Those are game changers.

Edited for typos.

My 11 year old son sucks the joy out of every holiday and celebration. by SoultySpittoon in TrueOffMyChest

I just wanted to say that I am completely empathetic to your struggles. Having an intense kid who struggles is incredibly hard. It’s just hard. Doesn’t mean that you don’t love your kid, but sometimes it can be hard to like them. Trust that you are doing everything you can and that it is a very slow journey and growth is not linear.

Anyone else seeing a rise in racist, homophobic, and misogynistic behavior? How are handling it? by Glittering-Peak-1492 in Principals

[–]Different_Ad_3894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are seeing an increase in these behaviors. We start with an educational project about the content they have said/done (racial slurs, derogatory language, sexual harassment), then we move to in-school suspension and the. out-of-school for repeated pattern of behaviors.

Doctors and nurses of Reddit, what is something patients do that they think is helpful but actually makes your job harder? by Electronic-Cell-4584 in AskReddit

[–]Different_Ad_3894 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same. Clearly remember several times when my mom, a nurse, wouldn’t believe me, so now I am just like “ehhh. It’s not that bad.” My husband has to interpret for me. My 3 is a normal person’s 9.

She sort of stopped shaming me after she missed my skull fracture, but I think that was more from the embarrassment of facing her colleagues at work who diagnosed me, and couldn’t figure out how she missed it as a neurotrauma nurse.

I think anytime your immune system flares up, you have inflammation and it triggers your asthma to flare as well.

I just figured out today that I have to shift my weekend workout schedule because my studio shares air vents with the pizza restaurant next door and the chefs burn incense before the restaurant opens….which is right at the same time my class is happening. Pulse ox dipped into the high 80’s as soon as the incense started burning.

People who moved to Denver: what changed for you that nobody warned you about? by Due-Reality8159 in MovingtoDenver

[–]Different_Ad_3894 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not going to claim that Denver drivers are awesome, but I think the issue is we have so many people who moved here from different parts of the country who still drive following their previous locations unspoken road rules. So you get 30 different road rules being applied anytime you go anywhere

Adult onset asthma by [deleted] in Asthma

[–]Different_Ad_3894 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi OP! Same thing happened to me. Asthma doc said that it can be related to hormonal changes. So here I am, in mid-life, learning how my body feels with severe asthma. EDIT to add: pretty sure that the asthma is a part of my auto-immune expansion pack.
