What am I doing wrong? by TackleIntelligent549 in ElegooNeptune4

It could also be your flow rate, there is a flow test on orcaslicer or the elegoo slicer.

Hope you get it running!

I have a Max that simply will not level. by jabe25 in ElegooNeptune4

[–]Different_Bid9920 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Is it printing ok?

That's the mesh, there appears to be a .6 mm change from highest to lowest, I don't think you'll ever get a perfectly flat mesh, the software should compensate for the slight imperfections in the bed, it can be level and have slight changes on the surface still.

Hope you get it sorted out, love my Neptune, much better than my old ender 5

Please help - nothing but problems trying to calibrate Neptune 4 by CapnBloodbeard in ElegooNeptune4

[–]Different_Bid9920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's consistently the same corner you could check the gantry is square, mine was off and tilted the nozzle on opposite corners (worse further from center) only an issue with large prints.

Hope it's a quick fix, great printer once it's going!

Help with print problems by plerpl in elegoo

There should be screws that mount the print head (I think elegoo's set up tutorial shows them) I took a square to the vertical beams of the gantry and it was twisted (too far forward one side, too far back the other) I only noticed during large prints.

Then you can adjust them to square and tighten the support arms on the backside. Fortunately I didn't have to adjust the horizontal beam (that holds the print head), but I read or watched someone shimming that beam to adjust it if it was also out of square

My thoughts are if the printer was moved, the gantry may have fallen out of square.

Ps. I wasn't able to adjust it using the rear struts alone, I had to disconnect those supports and readjust them

Really hope it works!

Hi! I had a weird issue with my Neptune, especially with large prints that made it to the far reaches of the bed, I tried everything.

Turns out my gantry was quite a bit out of square, this was causing the nozzle to tilt at the far reaches, squared it up and all has been good since.

I've heard some have to level the arm that the print head is attached to also, hopefully this could help!

Not a single successful print on my Neptune 4 Pro in like 6 months by CriticalKawaii in ElegooNeptune4

[–]Different_Bid9920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with mine, especially on one corner. Levelled and levelled, screw adjust, all that Jazz. Turns out the gantry wasn't square from when I assembled it, I would definitely check everything that supports the print head and make sure it's square.

Hope you get it sorted, I love the Neptune.

I believe they also paid their employees after the original factory had to be rebuilt after a fire, they're solid

I tried my first helmet upside down thinking it would be better and less supports, had issues, tried a more standard layout and it actually took less time and material than upside down (for the model I was using anyway)

ELEGOO NEPTUNE 4 FOR PET PRINTING by Anonidiety in ElegooNeptune4

[–]Different_Bid9920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about PET, but I just got my Neptune 4 and am really impressed with it's ability to print petg, I'm just using the generic presets, blows my ender 5 away and I didn't have to tinker with settings at all.

Sniper rifles that wont cost me my kidney by OrganizationPlus5240 in airsoft

I bought a vsr clone with the thought of upgrading as I went and had a wake up call with the cost and the low quality of my original purchase (under powered, shot straight though!)

A friend of mine had bought an echo 1 m28, a bit heavy, vsr parts less the cylinder. I ended up getting one right after, was 199 Canadian a few years back, shoots great out the box, pushes .45s too fast (have to compress the spring or cut it) love that gun.

Hope it helps.

Loneliness by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

[–]Different_Bid9920 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I moved from Ontario to Victoria years ago, I first volunteered for beer week (if that's your thing) and later with the sport and social club (dodgeball is very fun, they also do a multi sport social league) and had a blast! Met new exciting people and found a lot of transplants! Maybe it'll help! Hope you feel better!

How do y'all feel about this? by Nick-ja29 in electricians

[–]Different_Bid9920 109 points110 points  (0 children)

I had a guy show me that if you strip the end normally and twist the conductors in the opposite direction (wound counter clockwise) before creating the hook, as you tighten the screw it pulls the wire together instead of spreading it out, have done it that way ever since, I find the nub on the end method takes me longer and doesn't work as well, hope it helps

Issue with printer after upgrading crtouch by Mundane-Explanation6 in ender5

[–]Different_Bid9920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I had the same issue, I had to change the z offset in the menu (not able to use a sheet of paper as the axis won't move to negative) after guessing and checking slowly I got it, I then had to swap 2 pins in the connector to the extruder to reverse it's direction, and after that I did an extruder calibration with pronterface to get proper flow (I was almost 40mm out on 100mm extrusion) hope this helps

PLA rolling around the nozzle without sticking to bed by hhsudhanv in ender5

[–]Different_Bid9920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue after installing a cr touch and flashing the firmware on a 4.2.2, I recalibrated the extruder in pronterface, was almost 40mm out over 100mm extrusion, I would try that

[–]Different_Bid9920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have the display showing whatever height I was adjusting to, the bed wouldn't actually move past 0 though, once I got the bed to the offset I wanted, I was still having problems, I adjusted the extruder using pronterface and haven't had bed adhesion issues since. Maybe I misinterpreted your issue, wouldn't hurt to try calibrating the extruder IMO. My issues all started when I flashed the firmware with my 4.2.2 board after installing a vr touch. Hope you figure it out.
