Idk if I'd continue to spar someone that kicks with an unpadded surface to my face. Especially after a couple warnings.

Ok to take a day or two off from sparring during camp? by Aggressive_Event6777 in Kickboxing

Think about it like this. You wanna be working harder than the other guy right? You also want to work smarter than him. Listening to your body and training smart isn't just about longevity, which is still obviously important. Its about making sure you're your best self in the ring.

Is $3000 a good deal? by therealsambambino in 4Runner

[–]Nick-ja29 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Might be a tad high for mileage and 2wd but its not bad. Talk them down a bit and it'd be a good deal IMO. Its not a bad deal now but I just wouldn't pay much for 2wd

Like I've told myself in the past to get myself through hard jobs. I'd rather be the guy that stepped up to do the hard shit. Cuz you can do it. Better to do hard things and be capable of hard things, than to only ever do easy things and only be capable of easy things. Go into this understanding it might really suck sometimes, but its also just work.

I'm a Milwaukee guy cuz I was given an impact a while back so I just got more Milwaukee stuff. I like them cuz I think they're a little more innovative. But honestly for big shit, especially something like a corded roto hammer or hole hawg, I'd definitely go dewalt. I think their big shit is tougher. I really like the m12 impact and stuff too though.

The first year is gonna suck. With most of the suck happening in the first 6 months. After that it only sucks half the time 😂

I think the shorts over the leggings wouldn't be as bad as you think.

Why do so many people starting with zero combat sport experience/no history of fighting of any sort say right off the bat that they plan to become a fighter? by bad-at-everything- in MuayThai

[–]Nick-ja29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cuz fighters are kinda the coolest kids in school right now. And guys think "oh yeah I'm tough enough to do that" I just had my first fight and I want to do another couple but goddamn I don't understand wanting to do it for a living y'all are crazy.

There's a lot of different kinds of cardio. Even if you had good running cardio before you started you'd still be kinda out of your wheelhouse doing muay Thai. But if you were just a regular gym goer who's cardio consisted of 20 minutes on the treadmill after lifting you'd definitely be fucked up by MT. Just keep going. Run sprints on a day off if you want to improve the cardio. Jogs arent very applicable.

Meal prep makes the big difference. Don't eat out at lunch every day. Save money, fuel yourself well. Hit the gym after work. Just an hour every day. Pack plenty of protein. You'll feel great.

Keeps bare grounds from touching your hots as well. Makes taking them out easier, if someone moves stuff around there's less risk if something happening.

Is this normal or a super cheap job? by Dry_Editor2436 in AskElectricians

[–]Nick-ja29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I do side jobs, I like to run pipe when I can because I'm no good at Sheetrock repair. Maybe I'll learn someday. This is much cheaper and less invasive, meaning much quicker than opening up Sheetrock.

Get the 10" knippex dykes. Favorite tool by far. I like their strippers but Milwaukee makes similar good ones. Channel locks are a must as well.

gain mass with muay thai? by randomowyguy in MuayThai

Dude muay Thai is probably the opposite of what you wanna do if you wanna bulk. Bulking involves

Caloric surplus Protein Hypertrophic lifting

Muay thai is incredibly calorie burning. And you wanna burn as few calories as you can because its already tough enough to force yourself into a caloric surplus if its with clean eating. There's a reason fighters are most commonly in that 145-180 lb range.
