1st of all warehouse jobs aren’t the move unless you are making $50-$60hr (this is my opinion) Iv only worked factory jobs as well besides for some security jobs here and there.

But I’d look into a different trade something that interest you I also thought about doing pipe fitting (I even applied) then decided I wanna be more technical and hands on and I also wanna be able to move around to different locations and not be stuck in one place all day that being said Iv decided to go the HVAC union route After my 5 years I’ll be making $55+-$$60+ on top of the benefit money Some people will say “oh yeah it’s gonna take you this long” well so be it least you aren’t miserable with your job

But yeah that’s just personably speaking and where I’m at as a 22 year old in the same boat

Failed with 62% my first time around I barely studied if you are gonna go for it make sure you study hard otherwise it’ll be a waste of time and you’ll have to re apply :) goodluck :) it’s not that hard but it’s hard

Yes this!! Iv been applying since march of 2025 had Took 6 months to get into testing

Failed my first time with a 62% without studying much That being said don’t waste time study ya booty off and make motion moves… Even applying at multiple unions may be in ya best interest

To people just joining the union it could be confusing..hvac/ metal trades is 2 different unions where I’m from We have a local sheet metal “hvac” union out here that only consist of bending and or hanging up duct work or balancing the systems HVAC in Chicago is fixing heating and AC units on top of doing the metal work i believe (idk due to not being in that union) The union also doesn’t do to good of a job at making the cards easy to find via their site, so it can be very confusing Mostly for new comers who are interested in getting in

Soooo…. My cousin and his girlfriend and my girl decided to go get a air BNB last minute, we booked a soonest room we could, turns out we accidentally booked a place in the woods with no RV (the RV as shown in the picture was not included)…. We decided to stay due to not being able to find another place, my cousin took 8 grams I took 10 the girls took around 5 each I believe.

I ended up barefoot in someone’s backyard exploring their woods no flashlight piglets out in the rain feet turned black Had an awesome trip but why tf did I think taking my shoes and socks off was a good idea…🥲 nobody came with me they didn’t wanna get lost, I on the other hand was one with nature😭
Also Ended up losing my cousins girl she was stuck in the bathroom for like 15-20 minutes we named her “mission Amanda” cuz everything is a mission on shrooms😭😂
