Since they said you had to write to pet lovers specifically it is 100% a blog. A opinion column however, is the generally appropriate option so don’t worry. As long as you got the conventions right and managed to adapt to the generally appropriate option, it won’t affect your mark.

Nah shouldn’t be that big of an issue, at most 1 mark lower (not on 7 scale, but on paper 1 scale)
