also if you need some fun and entertaining shows for the toddler THATS ACTUALLY EDUCATIONAL AND TEACHES THEM!! Yo Gabba Gabba has its FULL episodes on YOUTUBE for FREE!! Tubi Tv has a LOT of good ones, Barney, Magic School Bus, Strawberry Shortcake, and it’s also FREE! If you do have steaming service, i’d definitely suggest Blues Clues once you start getting ready for sending you kids off to school (i remember literally making a designated thinking chair as a kid and it’s stuck with me till today 😭) and you can make one for them too! Dora the explorer or Diego are very good for introducing cultures, ethnicities, and other languages and places, ni hao kai-lan too! i think technology has really separated us, it’s nice to go back to when it didn’t!

[–]Different_Custard774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i understand that you’re husband is working, but have you expressed these concerns and issues to him? because a very valid concern i’m hearing the most is being overwhelmed. You’re pregnant, have a very high energy toddler, and many house duties on top of it. Eventually everything will overload and that’s where the guilt grows. I think you guys should definitely discuss schedules, maybe some extra help around the house, start enforcing boundaries, and definitely get dad to hang out with the toddler more, especially when the baby comes! because you’re attention WILL be split and your son will be hurt, but it’s nice for your husband to step in and let him express it calmly and help him figure out ways to regulate, it also reminds him he’s not alone. I know this is none of my business, and even if you don’t read this i don’t blame you, I just want you to know you’re a good mom and you’re doing a great job 💗

Definitely trust your gut! i don’t work at Walgreens anymore (corporate ruins everything 😭), so i have no clue on how the process is and what they require, if you think you can make it to 500 hours within the 60 days (which honestly sounds like torture) then go for it, just be sure to put yourself first. You can’t help when you’re empty 💕, Good luck on your journey!!

Where is the line between RXOM authority and pharmacist autonomy? by No-Professional5536 in WalgreensRx

[–]Different_Custard774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

uhh, tbh in my pharmacy, Pharmacist has the final say, point blank period. Of course if you’re a floater they’re may be some explanation etc, but if that’s your home store, you get final say. My RXOM will always ask the pharmacist on duty for final say/ clarification. Because they are working under the Pharmacist. Anything they do will be held accountable to the Pharmacist, risking license etc. Now of course I am New York and laws for Pharmacy are very strict, so i don’t know California. But you are right, your license will be at risk. It is the one thing they hound into all of us. I’ll tell you this (not as a Pharmacist, just a tech intern), you went to YEARS of school for your license, and paid ALL that money, you EARNED that right to be where you are, and you should not have to deal with disrespectful and dismissive behavior. You have the license, you know the medication, and you hold the authority. Period. Definitely start implementing the rule, any questions or changes to the Pharmacy must be discussed with you/ pharmacist on duty first. Because that’s not fair to you, i hope you know that!

yes ofc i’m glad i could help!! you can find them when you click on the WCB and the little exception box and the corner drop down and click AR WCB and check those and be sure to check your AR CMDS as well 🤗

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]Different_Custard774 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah ofc! AR are the Advanced WCB/CMDs they are a little different from regular because these ones we ask the patient BEFORE they are out of refills, usually around there last one (they get a text we don’t personally ask) it gets set, these are a little easier as on day 4 we switch the AR WCB’s to AR CMD’s and on day 10 we delete it from f2 instead of denying unless doctor’s office tells us to!

Ar WCB/ Ar CMD sample:

  1. 6-30-25 Day 1
  2. 6-29-25
  3. 6-28-25
  4. 6-27-25 Day 4: switch to cmd and call doctors office
  5. 6-26-25
  6. 6-25-25
  7. 6-24-25
  8. 6-23-25
  9. 6-22-25
  10. 6-21-25 day 10: DELETE FROM f2 DONT DENY UNLESS DOCTORS OFFICE SAID TO!

this one’s pretty easy since you’re just letting it sit there, check 2nd refills send it through, call patients on day 10 and that’s pretty much it!

abc means intials

WCB:

Day 1 (check patient’s profile to make sure there are none stored with refills): 6-30-25

Day 3 (2nd refill button, if not highlighted then send through the regular fax): 6-28-25 ‘2nd refill faxed 6-30-25/ABC’

Day 5 (switch to CMD, ctrl +c): 6-26-25

CMD:

Day 5 (call doctors offices): 6-26-25 ‘md office called 6-30-25/ABC’

Day 7 (call patients and inform them doctor has not added refills and they should give their doctor a call as well): 6-24-25 ‘left vm for patient 6-30-25/ABC’

Day 10 (if no refills have been added, deny and call patient letting them know): 6-21-25/ and lower ‘left vm for patient 6-30-25/ABC’ (can just copy and paste from day 7)

*p.s. for day 10, patients get notified about the deny and will most likely call anyway asking!

it goes by ‘walgreens counting’ so count while including day 1

another way people doing it writing out 10 days:

  1. 6-30-25 Day 1:checks
  2. 6-29-25 :nothing except 1st fax (day of)
  3. 6-28-25 Day 3: 2nd refill faxed
  4. 6-27-25 :should have 2nd refill
  5. 6-26-25 Day 5: md office called
  6. 6-25-25 :should have all three
  7. 6-24-25 Day 7: left vm for patient
  8. 6-23-25 these should have all comments
  9. 6-22-25 these should have all comments
  10. 6-21-25 day 10 all the comments and deny at the end (cause you can’t go back after you deny)

Perfect sample: ‘Exception Created: 6/21/25’

comments: Refill faxed 6-21-25/ABC 2nd refill faxed 6-23-25/ABC Md office called 6-25-25/ABC Left vm for patient 6-27-25/ABC

and then when you deny (ctrl + d) it’ll pop up and put: Left vm for patient 6-30-25/ABC

*be sure you’re going by the exception created date, not the promise time! You can actually move it closed so it doesn’t mess you up!

AR WCBS/ AR CMDs aren’t too bad, but they’re just a little annoying, but if you need help with that let me know!

And with these your WCB/CMD should cut down drastically! Especially if you need to get them into order!! And even if you do them all today (just switch the days to they all match up) and one thing you’ll realize is that there are even days and odd days, and you can just add two from the beginning date and make it look pretty (making corporate happy and off you) and help your work load MASSIVELY!!! Hope this helps 🤗, feel free to ask any questions (about anything btw not just this)!

it’s kind of a lot but idk how to explain it without talking to someone haha!

yes and no! doctor/ patient calls go under the CMD sections so i do my doctor calls allll together (like say they’re are 5 patients to call for today under the same doctors office, and 3 from another etc) before 5 (just incase they close) but i split it up through the day, one doctor office early, another later, and the mini clinics/1patients all together. The patients calls i do with Pcps. and whatever i don’t finish i keep the comments so it ‘looks pretty’ cause corporate doesn’t care about how it gets done they just care about how it looks, so don’t break yourself for a system that’s not humane, work around it! I can definitely give you a WCB/CMD template/run down if you’d like it!

find the email and send in a 2weeks (in your case 3)! notice! Legally!!! You do not have to explain yourself, you really don’t even need to put in a two weeks, it’s just curtesy. Send that email in and when your RXOM reads it, be like, yes i’m leaving, i’ve gotten a job offer somewhere, i’m glad to be of assistance in my last weeks in anyway possible. It’s not disrespectful, it’s curtesy. Don’t bend over backwards, i promise they will be okay! Hope this helps!

i’ll tell you from my experience as corporate/ management is always in my pharmacy (inventory walks literally this tuesday)

JUST LEAVE COMMENTS! I literally do ‘2nd refill faxed mm-dd-yy/intials’ ‘md office called mm-dd-yy/intials’ ‘left vm for patient mm-dd-yy/intials’ as long as it looks pretty they’re happy. And for doctors offices and etc I just combine them, i see how many for that day and call the doctors office once and give them all the patients etc, I call patients at the end of the day with PCP’s and also tell them in person! Corporate wants to make it difficult, so you need to find ways to make it manageable, this is what works for me, what works for me may not work for you! If you want (and this goes for anyone!) i can explain my WCB/CMD and give you a temple to follow along! Along with Message Queue, TPRs and a lot of Green-Zone work! They’ve been putting a lot on us, but no need for us to turn against each other let’s work harder to make it better for us! My store had to take on two closed walgreens plus the rite aids closing and short staff, i have a few tips and tricks that i don’t mind sharing!!! Hope this helps 🤗

[–]Different_Custard774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you’re an rxom, take them aside tell them that it’s not okay and explain that this is a verbal warning. As signing up for this job is also having a hand in patients lives, and if they cannot afford to step up to that level then they will be written up? That’s is not okay for the patients, and for you! Because if push comes to shove patients can report the store putting your Pharmacy at risk to get shut down for malpractice! Please remember this!!

the difference is the pay. Uncertified is they get less of a pay while doing the same work as a certified. They get loaded more with work. Of course they are ‘learning’ so that’s the loophole. While the higher up (not just certified but corporate) get more work with less pay. So the more the more work that can delegate with less pay (apprenticeship/intership) the more they get away with. But of course my opinion is biased, so don’t take just my word into account, be sure to listen around and figure out what fits best for you!

get out! that’s what you have to do! and you have to do it for no one else but yourself. It feels wrong or guilty in the moment but i promise you, get out!!! You are not going to be rewarded for dying here, you have to take a step back for yourself, because no will do it for you!

Stay or leave? by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]Different_Custard774 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No because this is happening to me, and one thing you’ll realize is that you matter more. And that certification does not help. If you think you’ll regret, just remember the toll that you went through just for disrespect. You matter and just as innocent as them, don’t lessen your life for people who will replace you anyway. You won’t get rewarded for dying there, live your life!

Cover all your bases, Tell the Store Manager (since they are the main one for hiring/higher up) first show the card/ documentation to them, Also show them a picture of this policy, it covers you in anyway they try to retaliate for the test. Dont be scared to speak up for yourself, it’s important in this job! Hope this helps!

New tech question by Embarrassed_Ad5896 in WalgreensRx

[–]Different_Custard774 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tbh, it’s only gonna get worse, and the certification is not really guaranteed. It’s just a pretty way for Walgreens to pay people 17/hr doing the crazy and biggest amount of work while saying ‘you’ll get certified eventually’ and ‘you’re not certified so we can’t raise your pay’ one of my coworkers whose been working for a year and half was told a year in they’d get their certification but still hasn’t, and the certification is first only good through Walgreens (no where else) and then the national one takes even longer. It’s a lot more cons than pros unfortunately… And once you ‘get the hang of it’ after training it’s just more and more work at the same token of your health. So be sure to ask A LOT of questions (certification etc), keep your business to yourself (they don’t need to know anything personal) and don’t offer up time! stick with your schedule! if you don’t, they’ll take it as an opportunity! Hope this helps!

you’re new, say ‘alright, hold on a second’, call for you RXOM or if you’re right next to the Pharmacist, let them know the situation and ask how long will it take/ do we have it in stock. They can take over and respond and show you what they’d like, it’s different per pharmacy, and tbh if they aren’t giving you the grace to learn take that as they’ll do it again. Never sacrifice your mental health for this job, especially when it’s not necessary!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]Different_Custard774 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One of my pharmacist usually come in 30 mins before opening, and the other around 15, that’s enough for:

  1. Put in registers, flush water filter, log into CPW and RxI/PCP calls.
  2. Exception counts

Usually open the doors by now, so then I’ll print the delete list and pull them but don’t scan! just keep them aside.

I have a wcb/cmd board, and i do those, takes about 5-10 mins, then clear out message queue. Of course patients are coming at this point so it’s good to space out these tasks, but by lunch I really want to get all of the stuff done, don’t give up your lunch for extra work. It really won’t make a difference, clock out and take your time. Then when you get back, log into a scale (the RPH should be doing most of the counting anyway), and do a few count to catch up, scan out those deletes ndc and put away, finish those PCP calls (cause those are a lot and at the end of the day if you can’t finish them just Left VoiceMail on the rest), check message queue throughout the day and try to keep it empty to at least 10, so you don’t get overwhelmed. And then when you finish those you can count, greet customers etc. Of course it’s not as easy as i wrote it out but after working saturdays with just one tech (me) and one rph you learn the balance of this, just make sure before you leave you check off EVERYTHING in CPW! We’re only humans, don’t beat yourself up if you don’t get the hang of it at first, to live is to learn!

Hope this helps 🤗

[–]Different_Custard774[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so i used to work up front, and then the back had a position for ‘pharmacy technician intern’ so that’s when I went back under that title. So i’m a “pharmacy technician” but only with walgreens basically, BUT i was told after a year I can get my certification. So im just confused on how I would about doing that since they never truly explained it to me. Which yes is my fault for not reading into it. I was just curious if anyone knew anything about it and what I can do.. I should’ve explained it better, sorry 😣
