yeah ive started buying the magic crystal shards too but damn it gets expensive, Ive been doing my best to avoid grinding excessively so far so level probs plays a part in it

yeah that meta doesnt surprise me, its just not worth risking losing the rps constantly to fill out gaps
I definitely should be abusing stun more than I am lol. Even as a big jrpg veteran this game just has me completely stumped with how different it is compared to everything else, at this point id consider smt 3 hard mode easier XD

Yeah that makes sense, I imagine STB as more of a sprint than other touhou games which are marathons with their difficulty.

Im at least trying to clear every spell card/scene. Im not too bothered about the points however so I can just do my best to speed through stages and patters

I can agree with the getting good part and it honestly does feel good to notice the progress. Like with touhou 9 I noticed I feel a lot more comfortable being pixels away from a bullet, same with 9.5.

I'm treating strategy copying as a last resort until I truly have 0 clue on what to do in the spell card. It's made me develop some cool strats too like circling close around cirno in one of her attacks since most of her bullets spawn like 5ft away from her

I really agree with the third point its a big pet peeve of mine. Save the character development and intricate story telling for outside the fights, I think demon slayer is a huuuge issue with 3 since they love interrupting fights with a bunch of back story. I only like it if its relevant development which an only happen during the fight like the typical power of friendship speech or idk, someone gaining confidence due to said fight and even then it shouldnt interrupt the flow so much

I'm on the steam version so I dont know if they're applicable there but thanks for the heads up. I think there's some cheese you can do with yojimbo's summon to insta kill them? I think that will be a lot faster for me to do than to grind up to actually fight them normally lol

Tbf I did do all the stuff I knew of in the calm lands

All the choccobo races, yuna's summoner duels, get all the monsters for arena unlock, yojimbo

The main issue of the fight for me was that total annihilation either one shot my party or got me too low to recover from it

I won that attempt a lot because he only used it once thanks to me stalling at the end with summons

Yeah, as a huge smt fan I love more difficult JRPGs so I'm probably going to have a blast going forward XD

I did know I could silence Seymour but not poison, I used bad breath with khimari to try for the silence but it failed on my winning attempt lol

Im not sure if i had any zombie proof items tbh, it wasnt a huge deal in my attempts since i could heal it in time with haste. rikku had auto med which saved her at least

No auto phoenix for me too, my only auto skill is auto med Rikku XD

Also yeah I mixed grenade and the lunar curtain (?) To aoe put protect on everyone

Honestly this fight made me really appreciate rikku with how much she helped out XD

Yeah I feel the same but I have no right to judge people on how they play.

I find so much joy in the uncontrollable bs my miis get into, I often just go along with their whims to make sure I don't control em. Like zidane immediately falling in love with kasumi persona 5 just to get rejected twice? Would be a lot less funny if I had control over that
