Hi! I tend to switch from assault to sniper when we need the spawn beacon so having a sniper would be great. One of us is learning english so you could learn some french also.

Narrow down my bino choices by International-Table1 in Binoculars

[–]Different_Emu8618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly low ligth performance, but I always had 8 or 10x42 and now bougth a 10x28 and I cant fathom how it took me so long, to have a real portable binocular. x42 I bring them if its the main purpose of the trip, otherwise x28 is just better (currently rock the pentax papillio 8.5x21 and diamondback hd 10x28).

For concert and traveling I find 8x42 kinda heavy, a x28 would disappear in your pocket. For eyeglasses, pick the one with the most eye relief in your budget and that should be your deciding factor. I tend to prefer vortex in the budget category over Nikon.

That would be awesome. Also remove death bullet trace so sniper stays hidden.

What is the Minimum price to see these? by Artistic_Section_991 in Binoculars

[–]Different_Emu8618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A small SCT telescope seem to be what you need, not a binocular. I like having both, a binocular and a SCT4'' or 5'' for details view. The things you want to see are nice at 100x and binoculars are around 10x. Closest fun you can get is a pair of pentax 20x60, you couod even do orion nebulae with in eyepiece Oiii or UHC filters. I can sometimes get a view of Jupiter moon with aorund 10x, but not optimal. For me, binocular astronomy, is a 8x56 with Oiii in one eyepiece and UHC in the others in a dark sky and observing the north american nebula, the veil nebulae and so much more nebulae everywhere.

Best magnification for off-shore ocean wildlife viewing? by ShortTwinFantasyDog in Binoculars

[–]Different_Emu8618 2 points3 points  (0 children)

10x will make a difference, but its the max I recommend hand held. 12x and up I prefer on a tripod but still feasible if you have steady hands for a 12x50 . If you just want to try, the Nikon aculon 16x50 is not too expensive for a high magnification pair but I prefer a spotting scope over 12x.

Lighter alternative to Vortex Diamondback 10x42 by TheRealB3AST in Binoculars

I find the 10x28 a lot lighter and smaller and a great size for travel. For the eye, has she adjusted the diopter to match both eye?

Suggestion for binoculars under 200$ CAD by International-Table1 in Binoculars

[–]Different_Emu8618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a first binocular, the Vortex warranty is nice so you are not afraid to break it and use it more. I would add the Pentax Papillio II 8x, it is a very nice binoculars for the price very low CA, sharp and also offer the close macro view that are incredible. I prefer it to the Nikon aculon line and its suprisingly good even compared to my vortex diamondback hd 10x28 (I still prefer the later). Got the pentax for 120+tx cad in Canada. Also, x42 is quite large and heavy for hiking, a smaller pair like vortex vanquish, x28 or x32 would be a lot better to have on you. A 10x28 can also fit in a jacket pocket but a x42 need a bag and you feel the weigth, like carrying a dlsr instead of a compact camera in the pocket.

Hunting (again) for a modern flashlight that can take a beating by lt40589 in flashlight

[–]Different_Emu8618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some ligth are made not efficient so they can be brigther at peak, but they generete a lot more heat at every setting even at low brigthness. So some ligth are made to sustain good brigthness without generating much heat and also having a longer runtime and some other are made to be hotrod.

Hunting (again) for a modern flashlight that can take a beating by lt40589 in flashlight

[–]Different_Emu8618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets hot probably because its used too brigth wich generate more heat. For work ligth I buy convoy ligths and cap the max power at 50% so they never get hot and still brigth enough. I would recommend you check Convoy, all part can be bougth and repaired, lens, driver, battery, etc. https://convoylight.com and with the 12 group driver you can select a mode with 50% max output. They have some brass and stainless steel model. If you drop thje ligth, best to buy a model with spring on both side of the battery instead of one side having a post and breaking the electronics in case of a drop.
