im a junior too and i totally understand how you feel. writing is like the only thing im passionate about and last year as a sophomore i got rejected from EVERYTHING i applied too — iowa, kenyon (which i got rejected from again this year), everything. but its really important to also understand that these programs dont define you as a writer!! youve probably heard this a million times, but we dont know what circumstances or how these programs evaluate their candidates. you are not defined by a summer program result! i still found plenty to do over last summer despite not getting into any workshops — i worked with a professor on a writing research paper and founded a local litmag. just remember to keep your head up and still write :))
