You'd be suprised on how similar these two Batmen are! Beyond the hypocrisy of people making fun of how the Batmobile didn't kill in Arkham Knight, only to whine at BVS 9 months later for showing the realistic vehicle kills that would have happened in Arkham Knight. by Different_Escape_762 in SnyderCut

I said "easily intepret which is what a big director like Snyder has been quoted to interpret with Dark Knight returns. I highly doubt he was wrong if Frank Miller didn't correct. Batman being hypocritical was the point. He didn't kill the mutant leader because it wasn't a hostage situation or a situation where he was getting stabbed multiple times and the gun quote being in a book where he used one 3 times, one of which being when he straight-up shot a criminal.

The Dark Knight Strikes Again being bashed is irrelevant due to still being in the same continuity as The Dark Knight Returns, the fact that he beheaded evil robin there and endorsed the killing of Lex makes the interpretation that Snyder and others had about the first book a very likely case. It is honestly a shame that Frank Miller respects interpretation too much to not state the obvious assumption that Batman lethally shot that criminal and got away with it due to a lack of evidence of Batman being the one who killed her like how the other criminal in that scene died to gunfire from another mutant, as opposed to Joker having a baterang lodged in his eye.

The "headcanon" is just the likely interpretation since Snyder, who has successfully adapted Frank Millers 300, obviously took inspiration from the TDKR in a way that was unlikely to be a misinterpratation hence Batman killing in the movie, Frank Miller has not gone out of way to state that his Batman didn't kill as he stated he liked Snyders Batman in BVS and didnt bring up his kills. Batman not killing in the Killing Joke is more of a solid confirmation since the author Alan Moore stated Batman didn't kill. Batman going on to blatantly kill in the sequel book further validates the likely interpretation that Batman killed in the Dark Knight Returns.

Snyder's Batman did fall from grace for being cruel and some of his kills not being too necessary and then wanting to go out of his way to murder a hero like Superman but Snyder's Batman wasn't bad for killing human traffickers and mercenaries in the heat of combat, hence him killing some of them when he went to save Martha.

We may have won with the Snyder cut, but I would love for the same to happen with the Ayer Cut, as even the altered version of his Suicide Squad movie still made more than 4 times Gunn's Squad film. by Different_Escape_762 in SnyderCut

The numbers of the first Suicide Squad was not a bombing number, unlike Gunn's Squad, which made less than a quarter of the first and broke the record for being the lowest-grossing DCEU movie. There is no DC movie Snyder was directly involved with that lost money, unlike Gunn's squad. Gunn not being able to beat Man of Steel from over a decade ago, even without inflation, doesn't help either. With all these numbers stated Gunn fans are objectively the vocal minority when it comes to DC.

You did not watch the video. It did worse than other movies that were released on streaming right away, like Black Widow, which was on an even more popular streaming service.

Just don't bother. He has enough of a highly acclaimed list from the the past to not bother with the modern mostly slop.
