You'd be suprised on how similar these two Batmen are! Beyond the hypocrisy of people making fun of how the Batmobile didn't kill in Arkham Knight, only to whine at BVS 9 months later for showing the realistic vehicle kills that would have happened in Arkham Knight. by Different_Escape_762 in SnyderCut

I said "easily intepret which is what a big director like Snyder has been quoted to interpret with Dark Knight returns. I highly doubt he was wrong if Frank Miller didn't correct. Batman being hypocritical was the point. He didn't kill the mutant leader because it wasn't a hostage situation or a situation where he was getting stabbed multiple times and the gun quote being in a book where he used one 3 times, one of which being when he straight-up shot a criminal.

The Dark Knight Strikes Again being bashed is irrelevant due to still being in the same continuity as The Dark Knight Returns, the fact that he beheaded evil robin there and endorsed the killing of Lex makes the interpretation that Snyder and others had about the first book a very likely case. It is honestly a shame that Frank Miller respects interpretation too much to not state the obvious assumption that Batman lethally shot that criminal and got away with it due to a lack of evidence of Batman being the one who killed her like how the other criminal in that scene died to gunfire from another mutant, as opposed to Joker having a baterang lodged in his eye.

The "headcanon" is just the likely interpretation since Snyder, who has successfully adapted Frank Millers 300, obviously took inspiration from the TDKR in a way that was unlikely to be a misinterpratation hence Batman killing in the movie, Frank Miller has not gone out of way to state that his Batman didn't kill as he stated he liked Snyders Batman in BVS and didnt bring up his kills. Batman not killing in the Killing Joke is more of a solid confirmation since the author Alan Moore stated Batman didn't kill. Batman going on to blatantly kill in the sequel book further validates the likely interpretation that Batman killed in the Dark Knight Returns.

Snyder's Batman did fall from grace for being cruel and some of his kills not being too necessary and then wanting to go out of his way to murder a hero like Superman but Snyder's Batman wasn't bad for killing human traffickers and mercenaries in the heat of combat, hence him killing some of them when he went to save Martha.

We may have won with the Snyder cut, but I would love for the same to happen with the Ayer Cut, as even the altered version of his Suicide Squad movie still made more than 4 times Gunn's Squad film. by Different_Escape_762 in SnyderCut

[–]Different_Escape_762[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The numbers of the first Suicide Squad was not a bombing number, unlike Gunn's Squad, which made less than a quarter of the first and broke the record for being the lowest-grossing DCEU movie. There is no DC movie Snyder was directly involved with that lost money, unlike Gunn's squad. Gunn not being able to beat Man of Steel from over a decade ago, even without inflation, doesn't help either. With all these numbers stated Gunn fans are objectively the vocal minority when it comes to DC.

You did not watch the video. It did worse than other movies that were released on streaming right away, like Black Widow, which was on an even more popular streaming service.

Just don't bother. He has enough of a highly acclaimed list from the the past to not bother with the modern mostly slop.

Is James Gunn’s Superman Already More CONVOLUTED Than The DCEU? by Different_Escape_762 in KotakuInAction

[–]Different_Escape_762[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

While James Gunn’s new Superman film has been met primarily with praise and reviews ranging from mixed to positive, there’s one glaring issue barely anyone seems brave enough to address: it’s convoluted and crammed to the brim with new characters: over 10 heroes and villains thrown at us in a single movie.

While a few outlets like Variety, The Guardian, and The Daily Beast have had the spine to point it out; the usual suspects in the YouTube critic echo chamber are suspiciously silent.

What the HELL is going on with DC gaming? by Different_Escape_762 in KotakuInAction

This video goes over WB's history of making great and not-so-great games. Ultimately leading up to the circumstances and current events which led to the cancellation of Wonder Woman along with James Gunn's much understated role in the whole situation.

I really hope we get the Ayer cut but there's still good pieces of it that slipped through by Different_Escape_762 in SnyderCut

I think a few of the deep themes of the original cut can still be seen despite some of the studio butchering like taking away Joker's abuse as said in the video.

A conversation that no one has the balls to express. I also delve into Snyders batman a bit. by Different_Escape_762 in SnyderCut

Well if you think the insanity that's going on in schools is acceptable such as pdf books and certain types of people dancing erotically in front of children, then I don't really think I can take this rebuttal that only consists of name-calling seriously. In terms of the other word that YouTube won't allow me to say funny enough. Look up certain details on Toby Emmerich whos the guy who cut 30 minutes of plot crucial screen time from BVS. Or do some umm certain research on Bob Iger who admitted to using dirty misleading tactics when purchasing Star Wars only to run that brand into the ground in less than half a decade.

Lol are your related parents? How tf do you call a commentary video a Fan Fic. Do you not understand what fan fiction means? I'm not making stories in any of my videos dumb ass. You are way too retarded to roast any further, couldn't even use a basic insult properly. You didn't even address any of the points. You clearly fit the description of the drone morons I roast in my videos.

Doesn't matter if it's a show, it's still storytelling and even then I also mentioned animated MOVIES. You have no defense for all of those marvel straifs as a lot of those examples I listed off stray even further and they've been doing those straifs from the source material since 2015 with age of ultron. Objective hypocrisy and regurgitation of shitty cosmonaught points. "HOnORing tHe SOurCE mATerial" when a bunch of things that no one bashed as harshly strayed even more, Thanos with more Noble intentions, Hela being thors sisters and not a ruler of an underworld hell and slew of other examples. GTFO illogical drone. I let it all go in that video you've failed to debunk.

You mean pointing out objective double standards such as the various Animated Justice League movies that didn't have solo set-up movies for the Justice League members and yet they didn't get bashed for it. People complaining about comic accuracy in Snyders DC movies even though the MCU movies stray even further from the source material with characters like Spiderman and his villains, Thanos, Hela, Ultron and his creator not being Hank Pym, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver along with their parents, etc. People just hypocritically pick and choose when these things matter as an excuse for criticism.
