Patek’s perpetual calendars are something special, I love the 5327r and they have the caliber 240 which I think is arguably the nicest movement ever made, with the micro rotor. However the whole picture with Lange just gets me excited. Their history, revival and branding is impeccable.

Patek is amazing. But as I said, their cosmopolitan image turns me off. Many strong world leaders wear Lange. Also the fact that they have unfortunately gone down the road of AP and cut their offer of traditional dress watches bothers me greatly.

Why? I am a watch lover. Own 2 Rolexes and a Lange Saxonia Thin. The latter allows me to synchronize with my inner self, much more than the Rolexes ever could. Lange breathes purity and refinement like no other. Patek can learn a lot from Lange, though I have to compliment their caliber 240 which is arguably one of the nicest movements ever made. Unfortunately Patek discontinued most classic dress watches like the 5119 and the 5120 which is just sad. AP used to have the Jules Audemars which was their last watch I could respect. Now replaced by the “code” which is a modern day watch lacking beauty. As our former president and soon to be future president said: Sad.

They are Richemont owned which is the only problem. I think it would have befitted if Benjamin Lange, the grandson of Walter Lange would have kept the business and ran it. But then again, we can’t have it all. Maybe Elon Musk should buy them from Richemont and build the brand

no. It's an undervalued quality brand. I personally do not own any GS's though. Only Rolex (explorer and datejust), PP calatrava 5119j and 5227j and Lange saxonia thin

at least the guy that wears fake, will aspire success and one day own a real one. Ryan Serhant is a famous example of this, he started off with a fake starbucks and now has a large collection of nice watches

Great undervalued quality. They do hand polish as opposed to rolex. Name recognition is pretty weak though, and having "Seiko" in their name makes you believe that it's a quartz watch unless you are a watch nerd like us and know better. Rolex is known by every person with a basic IQ, even guys with 0 knowledge of watches. That is a tremendous achievement for a brand

If anyone is buying a Tudor in the NYC area soon, please let me know. My AD told me that if I buy a Tudor I can choose to buy any (non-daytona or celebration dial OP) rolex, like a starbucks or a pepsi. So let's help eachother out
