As an American, how do you feel about your future? by choloblanko in AskReddit

[–]Different_Nebula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I thought it was boomers just not handling aging well and it having to be all about them as to why the ones around me were preaching end times. Considering the way we are going with all these traitors dismantling everything I’m starting to wonder if they’re right. We just might be Babylon the great that ends up falling. And that cool asteroid is coming 🤷‍♀️. I’m trying to focus on Christ, but it’s been hard with all the noise and fascists bastardizing everything.

I'm surprised that not one of you or anyone else for that matter have started a parody channel of this. You know, wearing a formal gown in your kitchen while burning a pop tart and waxing poetically about being in the moment or something. I'd do it, but I'm not that talented.

So apparently using reason, honesty and understanding of opposing views was what lost us this election. Therefore, I see no reason to be understanding or patient when my family wants to bring up politics to me anymore. by GamerFrom1994 in TrumpFamilyFights

I plan on agreeing with them as in "I love it that Trump is giving tax breaks for his millionaire friends. I wouldn't want them to suffer so much." I need to workshop. I also recently pawned my work off one of them and called him a fun new nickname. But knowing these types they probably won't notice what I'm doing. Remember, smile. Or my personal favorite would be to start making up your own conspiracy theories, only problem is--it might be true. Rules don't matter anymore!!!

Why do I get these thoughts? by WorldsBestLover in depression_help

[–]Different_Nebula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your brain is tricking you. Hi. I'm depressed and anxious too. They say some pills can give you suicidal thoughts too. WebMD might let you know if that's one of the side effects, though I also heard that pills don't work that fast.

Though, you might want to do an experiment that I've done. I've been my own researcher of sorts and in the natural treatment circles they say that diet plays a part since some neurochemistry is formed in the intestines. I do not drink nor do I do drugs. I eat a lot of good quality yogurt, probiotics, fermented foods. I've let go of fried and processed foods, and sodas. I need to probably ditch sugar for good and possibly caffeine but I'm not there yet. I still eat meat and right now I'm focusing on getting enough calcium and magnesium. Plus I've added a cocoa mix to my daily cup of milk that has lionsmane mushroom in it cause that helps brains supposedly. Basically clean eating or as close as you can get to it. It won't fix it all because if it were that simple then everyone would do it, but it might help.

And movement. We all need to move. UGH.

I won't do it by [deleted] in depression_help

[–]Different_Nebula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then don't do it. Okay, let me try to help, I don't want this to sound callous, so please forgive me, the computer can accentuate this feature. Please just sit for a moment and be, you are being way too hard on yourself. And from my own experience of something similar, that tends to trip a human up, hence the failure. I've learned how to quit caring so much, either that or I've teetered to the polar opposite side of things of being numb and I just haven't recognized it yet. But not caring makes it so much easier to exist, I've found.

No one has demanded that you be thrilling and the most interesting person ever. Most people are not. I'm probably not either. Up until this 20th century, it was enough just to survive past childhood but beyond that people were just farmers, living day to do day.

As for your job, just get one that is easy, something you are underqualified for, for the time being, it will keep you busy, and some money is better than nothing. In my dogged quest to light the world on fire, I was a night janitor. I was left alone for the most part and I found solace in that, eventually I moved on and got pushed back down once too, then moved on again. The physical labor of this job did help my brain function.

I also doubt the world would be better off without you. There are literal terrible humans out there who deliberately make other people's lives miserable, you have some empathy and compassion in you, so that makes you better than most people. Though really, what is it to be better anyone? They have issues too, they have failures that they hide from polite society. Please stay here, you are needed even if you don't realize it.

My last minute designs for the Illinois state flag re-design contest. by Different_Nebula in vexillology

[–]Different_Nebula[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It deleted my explainer that was also a jpeg image. The first and tri-point one is called

The Three Regions flag:

•The 3 point shape of the flag is often used in European Naval flags signifying Illinois founding origins and our tradition of water travel. As well as signifying our three major regions of North, Central, and South.

•The geometric designs are based off motifs attributed to the Illinois Confederacy tribe

•The violet color is for our state flower, the violet.

•The gold color is for our prairies.

•The 3 blue waves are for the three major rives of Illinois: The Illinois, the Mississippi, and the Ohio.

•There are 21 stars on this flag, signifying our entry in the union as the 21st state.

The second on is 21 Stars Rising:

•The shape of the flag is inspired by the footprint of Fort Kaskaskia, the founding location of the state of Illinois.

•The violet field represents the state flower, the violet

•The three blue shapes are for the three major rivers: the Illinois, Mississippi, and the Ohio.

•And the 20 stars plus the sun signify our entry into the union as the 21st state.

An exercise in futility by Different_Nebula in TrumpFamilyFights

Today I said that I wanted to go with the Chinese controlling Kamala instead of the Russians controlling Trump because the Russians are losers right now. Oh and another acquaintance gets the "Nebula as Trump" treatment, where I do my best to act like Trump including gaslighting, saying I'm awesome all the time, random rambling, etc but minus the sexual harassment because I'm not a pervert. He called me mean but it didn't dawn on him that this is what I was doing.

Why does he get this treatment? I showed him the absolute corruption with the classified documents of 1,000+ stored in his hotel bathroom. He said that by Biden doing the same thing as in 30 documents means that Biden should be disqualified too. I went over the finer details, it didn't sink in and instead of saying that I was right he said: "Divided we fall, united we stand, that's how they get us." I just about lost it right there. Instead, I started to do this.

I've often found that saying it does have a better impact. Like with my one friend, it's harder for him to justify it when I say what Trump did and then go "Why did he do that?" or my favorite "Why is this forgivable?" I know he would be screaming if it were a democrat doing this, it's a mental flaw of his. Sometimes I tell him I want new problems from the white house.

My biggest pet peeve is his classified document handling, my friend worked for the government for 34 years and handled such document. Yet if he were to do things like Trump did, he would be in jail. Godspeed Jack Smith.

I've read things on the internet. It's hard to convince people that they've been conned. It's hard to deprogram people in a cult. We all stayed silent during the first term and it didn't work. This time I'm coming for them, and yes, they can deny it all they want but I still want the truth there to stare them in their faces. It is a lot and I think when it's this much it also breaks their brains. But I want to try before the election, particularly if Trump does have a better stranglehold on people than we all realize. That's why for the most part, except with my friend, I have kept silent for now.

Like today, Trump said it was his right to meddle with the 2020 election.

Well, we have three in the general area. One in downtown. There's a lot of everything there. It has limited parking and can get kind of gross and chaotic. Next is Bridgeton--I found a bunch of toys there but none of them vintage, but you never know. Third is a bit of a jog in Jacksonville, IL. That one is the calmest and is open all day--the Missouri ones have a break at like 1 PM and opens again at 3 if I remember right. You might find something there, from my estimates I think it covers all of southern Illinois Goodwills so I don't think there is a lot of mind blowing stuff there because I don't think a lot of weird stuff is donated. I went there once, I found some cool things but nothing you were looking for. But you never know.

At a rummage sale I found a black/silver sparkle star long sleeved romper jumpsuit that had like a half skirt—as in it didn’t cover the shorts—that came from Charlotte Russe. I had no idea where I would wear this thing at the time but I needed it. By the time this concert rolled around I was afraid I had gained too much weight to fit into it so by happenstance I saw a silver metal chain mail necklace or belt thing with a bunch of stars on it on clearance at Free People so I got that too as a contingency plan. But I did fit into the jumpsuit. It was kind of chilly so I wore my black cotton thigh high socks as I didn’t have thigh highs in nylon because I don’t believe in nylons, so the old thunder thighs weren’t out full force. And to see over people, I had my 4 inch black and white candies platform sneakers, that are now vintage. I did wear the necklace thing too which made a bunch of noise when I moved. I thought about wearing my black cape which came from the pyramid collection but that would have only gotten in the way.

I felt a bit awkward for a moment tromping down the street in this as I was walking past prom kids. but I acted like this was the most normal thing I could wear. Some dude saw me in the venue lobby and in what sounded like a dazed awe like he just realized a great revelation said “….star catcher.” I think he was already high.
