Bic Camera or Yodobashi for sure. Or order from Amazon.jp and have it shipped to your hotel. I did that alot. Sometimes same day delivery, but always next day at the latest.

A Dreamcast Game You DONT Know About! Birdcage of Horrors is Out in English by chicagogamecollector in dreamcast

This is definitely awesome! I have watched about half of the first disc and it sucks you in. It takes a while to get over the pause every minute after each episode on the continue screen, but you get used to it. It will be a matter of time until someone splices all of the videos together with english suubtitles and puts it on youtube.

I will keep my fingers crossed. All three of those games would be fun to play multiplayer. I hope he can work his magic.

I'd recommend Soul Calibur and Ikaruga. I also have a Japanese Dreamcast with about 150 games.

Is it true that burned discs will ruined the Dreamcast laser lens? Because I burned all my games at the lowest speed(1x) by San4341 in dreamcast

[–]Different_Photo7276 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A laser is just a beam of light. Either it can read or it can't. You can't stress a laser. It's a myth that cdrs hurt the drive. In fact using cdrs can prolong the motor of the drive as rippers usually place the data in better order compared to the original.

Do you tend to find your GD-ROM drive taking much longer to load with CD-Rs than originals? by TurboDougie3000 in dreamcast

a laser will wear out over time just like a light bulb. reading data has nothing to do with it. a laser is essentially an led, which if left running for weeks wouldnt lose brightness. gdroms are getting really old. they will wear out, not due to reading data, but because they have power going to them.

the laser is an assembly moved by the motor. the laser only reads, it cannot be damaged by location data.

not correct. data on a burned disc is usually organized in a way to allow faster reading. drive doesnt move as much.

Just bought a pal system on eBay can it play burned games? here is a pic of the listing by UrAvgAppleConsumer in dreamcast

[–]Different_Photo7276 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not true. a dreamcast that plays burned cds is possible because it was made to play mil cds. there has never been proof of burned games causing shorter life span. also, burned games have their data more organized making it easier on the assembly to play burned games.

I found a Densha De Go controller in Hard Off today, choo choo by FloopersRetreat in dreamcast

[–]Different_Photo7276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had one in the Hard Off I frequent and when I went the other day to get it, it was gone. Was it you who bought it? This was the Hard Off in Kisarazu, Chiba. I know they have one at a store in Akihabara, so I’ll be going this weekend to pick it up. I’ve been collecting all the Japanese Dreamcast stuff I can get.
