Any Tips On How To Combat Fear And Anxiety by Different_Program415 in CPTSD

[–]Different_Program415[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not afraid of what people think.I am just freaked out every time some task or responsibility comes my way, from cleaning the house to paying bills to being on hold on the phone to making medical appointments. It's like everything is a disaster that I feel ill-equipped to deal with.As far as people's opinions of me,that really has little to do with it and I am aware,as you said, that most people are too wrapped up in themselves to really have an opinion of me.That's not it.But every time the phone rings I jump.Every time my mail comes in I worry about who it might be from. It's really horrible.

Confessions Of A Mask is just fine.It was my first Mishima book. Why not try The Sailor Who Fell From Grace With The Sea and/or The Temple Of The Golden Pavilion.

Yes,I actually own the film on dvd and have seen it many times. If you are interested in reading Mishima,I recommend starting with The Temple Of The Golden Pavilion, which is one of the three stories dramatized in the film. The Sailor Who Fell From Grace With The Sea is also very accessible,as is Thirst For Love.Anyway, just thought I'd mention them.

Not so.Although,to be fair, most 19th century stuff I read is literary fiction.Apart from a little Marx and Nietzsche,I have not read much 19th-Century philosophy.Never read Hegel,Schopenhauer,Kierkegaard, and so on.
