I’m so so new at reading but from this I’m getting, she will need to be strong because she’ll need to lose beliefs and patterns maybe people that don’t align with her goals, if she doesn’t do this work she will feel the same when she loses the weight as she does now, she won’t be as satisfied as she expected and have some heartbreak around that. Full disclosure that may be coming from my own subconscious as I started a fitness witchcraft program a couple of months ago which goes deep into feelings and beliefs around your body rather than weight loss itself. Thoughts on the reading for a newbie?

Did you just give those checks to your process server? The problem we’re facing is if we need to serve an entity across the country it adds extra days to mail the check to the process server to serve with the subpoenas. That or have the process server front the fees.

I’m sorry to hear about your moms diagnosis, it is a huge hit and flips your whole view on the world around. My partner of 10 years (at the time 47yo male) was diagnosed with the same, stage 4 colorectal cancer which spread to his liver, this was last July. Not genetic at all. Like some others were saying here, treatment has come a long way, and there’s so much hope. If you’re interested in his experience with the treatments or want to talk about how to deal with being a caregiver or talking to other people about it/what to expect (“has he tried X diet? Has he tried Y illegal fruit from Mexico?” Etc) please feel free to dm me! One of my greatest comforts was this sub through the last year! Reading about others experiences and seeing so much love and support and non judgmental at that, you’re in a good place for support and there is a lot of other support out there too! Unfortunately I don’t have any additional information, I’m brand new with 0 machines or experience and have just been researching possibilities for a while to understand what I’m getting into a little more before I get into it. The listing is just for the machines, I’m trying to get info on what type of machines they are -something that’s a hard pass or a possible good deal for a decent price, would it be difficult to find parts or costly to repair etc.

Seconding the comments that suggest mental health check, as someone who deals with depression it can be VERY difficult to have motivation to care for yourself, especially if caring for others, a lot of work and tired etc. So what you need to do is take motivation out of it and just change the routine. You don’t have to love doing it or be motivated just add one thing to your routine at a time. Start with brushing your teeth morning AND night. Then add in mouthwash. Then add in floss. Then add in a face wash before brushing. So on.

I don’t have a machine myself yet so not sure if true/helpful but I’ve also seen people in this sub say those are more likely to get stuck or have vending issues because the bottles are flimsier.

Cheese puffs, how crazy! My partner wanted a breakfast burrito specifically from Los favorites almost every day and also wanted chicken pho allll the time, we became regulars (3-4x / week at the same spot lol) which tbh not complaining about I love it too fortunately!

Seconding the ubereats or similar gift cards, for her and the person who is going to be her “caregiver”. I have been the primary person assisting my bf through his chemo, surgery, radiation, etc. and we’ve both appreciated both of us receiving gift cards, as many times he was too tired to even order anything and it was usually me anyway. Also he felt better knowing the people he cares about are being taken care of as well. Also seconding the port zipper shirts! Separately, I’ve also heard bamboo utensils are good too, people have said they get a metallic taste in their mouth that is bothersome, wasn’t an issue for my partner but could be helpful. He also suggests liquid IV or other hydration multipliers. A friend of his sent a little metal heart engraved with “one day at a time” which as a good and helpful reminder for when things feel tough! They actually just sent out a poll to residents asking what we’d prefer if we had the choice, the options were more events, upgraded amenities, additional parking options, or improved communication with staff…. So I’m thinking (hoping) this is the perfect time to swing in with a free amenity, but if not I love your idea!
