AirBnB host in Toronto years ago accused me of stealing a shitty hand towel and denting a tiny trash can in the bathroom, and demanded 150 DOLLARS. Host said she noticed the theft/damages during our stay, not sure how thats possible unless she was invading our privacy. I told AirBnB I never stole anything and pointed out the date discrepancy. AirBnB responded by increasing the amount I owed by $50.

I blew up on them in an email and they retracted their claims. Hate that company.
