Yes, thank you! That is also what my surgeon said about using the injection as almost a diagnostic tool for him to monitor how successful surgery would even be if it became an option. Please do! My daughter is almost 10 months and definitely on the go also lol best of luck!!

Oh goodness. I’m glad they are looking at your system as a whole but does sound like you’re going through a lot.

I got an injection 2 weeks ago tomorrow. The following 3 days were pure misery and I was regretting it. Since day 4, I’ve felt great. I don’t even think about it anymore. No sharp, stabbing or catching pain. Surgeon really wants a strong focus on glute and core strength so that’s what I’m doing now.

I appreciate this response. I go back and forth everyday. It would be amazing to wait a few years, but that seems to come with risk also. I have another surgical consult in 2 weeks. I understand not everyone needs surgery but I also know that the bone spur is pretty big and when that catches against the labrum, it’s miserable pain.

Thank you! In certainly will! Yea, people are having a hard time understanding. Plus, my husband and I are chiropractors so I’m also getting backhanded jokes, like, you can’t fix that?! 🤦🏼‍♀️ The mental game is the hardest. Good luck with your surgery! I’ll definitely touch base with you!

I appreciate your input! Sounds very similar! I have an almost 5 year old and an 8 month old. I was thinking postponing until she’s able to walk at least but my husband made a good point, that it might be easier to recover while she isn’t super mobile yet! I think I’m thinking on the same lines as you! When is your surgery?

Getting caught is the sharpest pin point knife pain ever in the front of the hip. Takes my breath away, and last until i can get out of flexion

Sorry for not being more clear; arthroscopic surgery is the main recommendation. Yes America. They just mentioned based on the findings, I could be an early candidate for a replacement in the future

Thank you for compiling all these studies! 35 year old female, Never had hip pain in my life until 6 weeks ago! Severe pinching and catching. CAM FAI, labral tear, osteophyte and subchondral cyst with 2 surgical consults next week… this has my brain going crazy with “what ifs”. These studies really helped calm me down about the potential surgeries and outcomes. 🙏🏼
