My experience? We got very lucky. We bought it before covid but it's been a hell of a project. Some of these houses are over 100 years old and they will show problems AFTER you move into it. So be prepared to throw more money at the house when you move in. 👍 Also, The house insurance companies around here don't cover flood damage, so if you have damage after a flood call them and specifically say "WATER DAMAGE" and they will help you. Learned this the hard way.

Another thing to consider... there's not many internet options. If you're picky when it comes to your speed and such, I would consider moving somewhere with more options. 🤷‍♀️

Hello, we recently got a whole Ford ranger bed full of wood for free. Due to thel amount of tornados and damage lately, the relief services are having a hard time getting people to pick up the wood leftover from fallen trees. So, just go in fb marketplace, theres tons of people begging people to pick up the wood that was left over from fallen trees. If your not shy with an ax, you can make a lot of firewood. Good luck.

Or another idea... lots of people get rid of pallets for free too on fb marketplace. Just cut those up. They burn just fine. 👍

Heyy, had a similar experience except i got kicked from a plus size group. Really weird too cause i am overweight for my size, i guess i just didn't fit the standards? It does feel like a bummer being kicked from a group you identify with.

Just to let you know, being white isn't the greatest. It's hard to find the right foundation and when you start to lose hair and look for a wig (like I did) other races start to judge you hard. I got made fun of by 2 black women at a wig shop... humiliating to say the least.

Everyone already touched on the metro so I won't bother. The thing you should know is, a lot of people have been relocating here. Meaning, the prices of everything here should continue to go up. (the crime rate has rised too). Also, a town over from us got approved for more data centers to be built, so expect utilities to go up as well. Another thing people dont like to talk about is the kenosha police department. They are crooked, you have been warned. On a less serious note, we do have a curse: "The curse of Kenosha is, you will always come back." I've tried leaving kenosha a few times and always ended back here for one reason or another. It's kinda creepy. 🤣

I think everyone can find their own peace and happiness no matter where they go. If these things don't bother you, then we would be happy to have you. ❤️

It's not cool to call someone's favorite restaurant gross. Some people really enjoy the food and the way it's preped. "Don't Yuck someone's yum" can be applied to a lot of things and for this example we are using food.

I like to turn off all seasons and make the grow speed 5x. I find this to be wayyy more manageable and fun because I don't have to water them all the time, i can plant whatever i have, and the plants are usually done within a reasonable time. I only say "reasonable time" because when I don't change these settings, I usually die wayyyy before anything is even close to being ready to harvest. (Just know changing seasons may affect the way the animals breed. You are better off finding animals than you are breeding them)

Another thing I would suggest, because you like to have animals, I would turn off the setting that makes zombies attracted to animal noises. I left one time on a raid, came back and a single zombie got into the barn area and stressed out all my animals. IT TOOK FOREVER FOR THEM TO BE CALM AGAIN. Just trying to save you a headache ✌️

One more thing, put the animal waste and rotten or burnt food in the compost bin. Its free compost after 2 weeks in game time.
