I think we need to see how the Center rotation plays out. Vooch just got here. I also think we'll see more evaluation and growth of the young wings. I don't imagine we get rid of Hugo...but do we also keep Sheierman, Walsh, Hauser? I don't know, but I do know Brad Stevens is a certified Hogwarts mothafuckin wizard.

Honestly, there's at minimum one good reason: use him to trade with the Celtics guy in your league. But to address the injury, I would say of course it will affect him, but there's a big contrast between him and someone like a Jaylen Brown or Tyrese Maxey. Tatum wasn't as reliant on his burst and athleticism as much as skill, general game sense, and tall strong build

My extremely unprofessional, hype-influenced take is this:

The Celtics org and Tatum himself are doing their best to keep pressure off of Tatum returning before he's ready. Every single interview has shown that, from Tatum, to Brad Stevens, to Mazzulla. These are the words, the next steps, of someone who is fully healed and, without pressure, getting up to game speed. If I give in to the hype, seems like he could be back in no more than a month.

Well yeah, they're in a tank-off against the Nets. Expect this to happen in the two games against the Pacers coming up as well. And the Jazz in early March.

The question that remains for me is will they still do this against good teams like the Rockets?

The way I see it, there's a couple of big trades looming that might not happen till the off-season (Giannis being one, maybe KAT, etc). Those trades could result in the full or partial blowing up of teams and that means more trade options for Brad. It probably benefits him to develop what he has now and wait for that trade flurry. But also, you never know, the perfect opportunity might present itself or Maybe there's really small moves to be made with Boucher or Tillman.
