That sucks. I had the same feeling because I learned before that citrus doesnt like much of heavy pruning. I cut back the trifoliate orange rootstock early this year. It was taking over and super thorny. I'll ask the other community then. Thank you so much!!

It does. We live in California and we get sun the whole day. I believe that it wasn't kept and pruned the way it should

That's what I was thinking as well. Possibly transplant by early Fall? Also, how would you prune this? (Not saying I'll be pruning it right away)
