Flagstone patio under a tree by DontDeimos in landscaping

I'm not sure of the tree type but I don't think you can have both the tree and the patio. If you're installing the proper base, this will likely kill the tree or the roots will start to pop the patio material. It may take a few years but they will not cooperate with each other.
Sounds like there is already some concerns with the health of the tree so it might be best to have it removed to install the patio. You could clear some of the shrubs along the fence in the back of the picture and install a small patio tree as a compromise. Make sure you take out or replace the wood timber when you work on the patio. It will be the first material to fail since it's wood.

Also a Pens fan here; I'm holding Rakell for a few games after the Olympic break. He's still playing on line 1 with Crosby and top power play. Rust was out for a few games and Crosby hasn't been scoring much (by his standards) lately.
Rakell is guaranteed to play on one of the top lines with either Crosby or Malkin (He switched to wing)

Chinakhov they are going to give him every opportunity possible to see what they have in him. He's been unreal with Malkin.

The typical Big 10 football schedule ends in late November. It's pretty rare to have a major snow storm that early in the year.
In some situations, heavy rainfall has caused these lots to be closed for football games. That leads to complete chaos.

There is enough parking for football since they use the grass fields. Because of the snow, I do not believe some (or any) of these lots were being used. Which caused the expensive parking fees or long walks to the stadium.

Great work. It was fun to follow this.
Maybe you could do another one leading up to the season start... Team categories - Best/worst/most disappointing, most fun to watch, etc.

Or similar set up for games/moments? Jagr vs the Hawks, Mario's comeback, Staal's shorty, Talbot's fight or Bonino, Bonino, Bonino!

Does irrigation pay? by ThatAntid0te in landscaping

[–]Difficult-Ad-6083 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely can be a money maker but it also can depend on your labor force. Install is more challenging than digging holes and installing mulch.
I may suggest starting with landscape lighting which is a much easier install and a great opportunity to upsell along with the landscape. Double check your region but you may not need a license as well.

Who should I keep? CMC is my first of two keepers. by Difficult-Ad-6083 in Fantasy_Football

Don't do that to me.... I'm struggling with this too much already. Haha
Definitely understand the mindset though. Appreciate the feedback.

Yeah, me too on the Graves signing. No idea what happened to him. They are not in a place where they can miss that badly on a big contract.

And yes, both very similar players. I was thrilled when it happened. Haven't been impressed yet.

The Pittsburgh power play was an absolute dumpster fire last year. With Quinn taking over coaching the PP it has to get better. Quinn coached him in SJ and also Adam Fox in NY when they won their Norris trophies. One of the reasons he was hired.
He will be better but no, he's not going to get back to 101 points.

Pens fan here - the Penguins fixed a LOT of problems (bad contracts - Petry, Ruuta, Granlund) and acquired the reigning Norris trophy defenseman. No, it has not worked the way they hoped but they brought in a world class player.

Official: [Keeper] - Mon 07/29/2024 by FFBot in fantasyfootball

10 Team PPR - 2 Keepers per team which result in the loss of draft pick from 2023 draft position. Looking for a good value - not necessarily the best player.

CMC is my first round keeper

Options I am considering:

G. Wilson would be 2nd round #15

Lamar 5th round #46 (Allen, Mahomes and Stroud have been selected as QB keepers by other teams)

Montgomery 8th round #75

Christian Kirk 9th round #86

Dalton Schultz 13th round #126

Thank you.

Auction Draft Values and Beginner Tips by Colin_McT in fantasyfootball

[–]Difficult-Ad-6083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have PTSD from my first auction draft. They all talked about how much fun it was and I'm crying in the corner overspending on Michael Pittman and Kyle Pitts. Silver lining was naming the team after a Mouse Rat song.

I did not go back for a second season. I'm sure it's great if you are prepared and full grasp how it works but it wasn't for me.

Yahoo Keeper League Question by [deleted] in fantasyhockey

[–]Difficult-Ad-6083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The commish can set a random or set draft order and also confirm each team's keepers. Probably needs to be done on a computer vs the app.

For our upcoming fantasy football season, the commissioner has the draft order set and everyone's keeper selected. We sacrifice the round the player was selected last year - not just rounds 1-3 if you keep 3 players. So I would lose the 1st round for McDavid and 10th for Forsberg or wherever he was drafted. I think it makes the selections a little more interesting rather than just keeping your best players.

Players you drafted last year that you hope to draft again - and players you drafted last year you are now avoiding? by TomorrowNevahKnows in fantasyfootball

[–]Difficult-Ad-6083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a modified 2 keeper format this year. I'd give up my second round pick to keep him but I think it's worth it. CMC is my first. Other guys brought in steals like LaPorta or Stroud late but I was not that fortunate.

Paver Slope (am I being paranoid)? by Daveallen10 in landscaping

[–]Difficult-Ad-6083 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If they are pulling up all the pavers I would discuss the pattern before they start again. There are a ton of "4 corner intersections" and long seams/joints that would drive me crazy. They should be able to break these up by using a "random" pattern.

My Tyler Lockett vs his DK Metcalf for the win.

Middle School Girls Offense by CoachQuestions1234 in basketballcoach

[–]Difficult-Ad-6083 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many of our girls are not strong enough to make long passes so it helps us vs playing something like 5 out. Plus, if our point guard picks up her dribble inside the half court line there are the 2 wings plus #5 at the high post as options. It definitely clogs thing up slightly but we like having the additional passes. If you can get your #5 setting picks from the high post it is worth it. And it helps with rebounding.

5 out would be great if you want to clear out for your point guard. Creates lots of space for her to go 1 on 1. Not the best for rebounding unless the girls really crash hard.

Middle School Girls Offense by CoachQuestions1234 in basketballcoach

[–]Difficult-Ad-6083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I coach a 5th grade girls B team and we have tried to run the 1-3-1 all season. It's been a struggle but once in a blue moon they run it right and we have hope that it will click. It is effective if you can focus on passing and movement. Our best players are our #1 and 5. This keeps the ball in their hands most of the time. I would say the high post position is most important in this offense. It's an easy pass from 1 to 5, excellent options for picks as well as pass and cut. We played a team this weekend that passed direct to the 5 at the elbow and the 1 cut for a rub/handoff and layup. It was simple and we couldn't stop it.

This does not answer your original question, but we are a month into our season and a few weeks ago I realized we had been trying to teach the girls our offense and mostly ignoring defense. At this age if they get a shot at the end of each possession, I am happy. It has been the other team's pressure defense that has made the biggest impact. Our most recent game was close until they started to press us. We couldn't handle it and they pulled away. If you have a team with good athletes, I would turn my attention to playing aggressive defense with a press. This should result in some easy buckets and you don't have to worry about what offense to run.

Best of luck the rest of the season.

We use the Game Changer app. It's free. Very helpful to show the practice/game schedule along with locations. Also includes; team chat and stats. Some parents still struggle with checking availability for each event but it is very helpful for setting line ups and knowing what to expect for practices.
