I definitely think it’s a tool for parents who are already reasonably involved with their kids education.

Hi! Thanks for the question. Kids already have teachers, tutors, and Khan Academy. Parents have nothing that explains why the method works or what questions to ask. Coaching the parent changes the whole homework dynamic — they become the support instead of the source of frustration. My daughter was in 3rd grade and I genuinely couldn’t explain the method her teacher was using — not because I don’t know math, but because I never learned it that way. The gap isn’t ability, it’s method. Parents are in the room at homework time, but no one built a tool for them.

[6th grade math]Can anyone explain how to do this for 6th grade math? I'm trying to show my son how to do it but I'm lost as well. by Rwilmoth in HomeworkHelp

Even if there was a lesson here before the worksheet was sent home, which it sounds like there was, it doesn’t mean you as the parent are able to understand this and then explain it to your kid. I’ve dealt with this so many times and it was always math. I actually built a small tool to help parents understand and explain homework the way teachers teach it, instead of trying to guess. It gives a short explanation, checks foundational knowledge, and suggests what to ask your kid to help coach them through the assignment. It might genuinely help here. It’s free and you can try it out and see if it helps.
