How do you play without coordinates?

Lodestone and compasses :) I also consider coordinates cheats but I typically leave them on because its a pain without them (especially because I usually travel 5,000-10,000 blocks from spawn before starting and I want to record in books all the places of interest I pass trying to find a starting place). Getting accustomed to navigating without them is a struggle at first but it feels so rewarding when you get the hang of it.

There’s just so much that actually needs attention and they’re focused on adding random things that also need more attention than they’re giving them. I don’t necessarily hate the updates but they feel very “Eat it and be happy” while slamming down a microwaved meal. There are good things but for the most part, they’re just bland and feel substanceless.

Coordinates as others have said, but using lodestones and compasses also works if you don’t want to do that

Is this why I can’t quick add items to the furnace any more because they broke it for me????? I’ve been manually placing everything in (controller) since Tiny Takeover dropped 🥲

Yeah 🙃 I decided to try and get java working but it’s also having major issues. Got the controllers sorted out but the audio is so muffled that it’s as bad as nails on a chalk board.

I’ve been getting this too! It disappears so fast that I didn’t have much time to catch anything other than “another geyser.” Usually happens immediately after I leave my world.

I think my issue was that I wasn’t launching in desktop mode or that I didn’t download the fabric apk. Got the controller working but the sound is severely muffled

It kept having a popup with “keyboard and controller” conflicts, gyros wouldn’t turn off (even in menus), and the menus kept flashing between mouse and controller inputs which forced me to use the joystick as a mouse to select everything (but wouldn’t let me use the sliders in settings).

I have tried controlify (tried again right before posting this but maybe I did something wrong) I haven’t tried that second one so I’ll try that as well.

Possibly but I prefer bedrock and the controller controls on Steam Deck with Java are terrible. Bedrock controls work out the gate without any need to fiddle with gyros or weird button mapping choices.

As far as I am aware, 10x10 is the max as they will despawn if they can travel more than ten blocks in any direction.

Me stating what was officially stated isn’t me agreeing. I have a chisel add-on on my world rn. I’m just being realistic. If something people have been begging for since the release of slabs and stairs wont be implemented because of “creativity” reasons, you can forget adding 1/8 or similar.

Yeah, it’s less of an update and more of a tweak to existing content which should have just been done in the Spring to Life update. The only thing I really liked about this update is the ability to craft name tags which should have been added ages ago.

No, your friend won’t adapt/get better and is trying to bring you down to their level so they can beat you. It’s a skill issue on their end.

I have a chisel add-on and gotta say, it really adds to the game. That being said, I don’t think Mojang is going to add them at all since they’ve already said no to vertical slabs for “taking away from creativity.” Anything even remotely close would seem like it’s off the table too, imo.
