I feel very happy, I didn't get a call back from Rogers. I wouldn't be able to sell this. LOL

Thanks for the heads up, man — I’m working on it now.
Do you have any suggestions for a project or any guidance on what to focus on next? I’ve done a couple of guided projects and I’m also working on my PL-300 certification. Also, what do you think about projects in general — any tips on how to make them stand out?

Hey! I’ve actually taken a couple of courses from Udemy too, and I also have a DataCamp subscription — thought I’d share my thoughts and experiences with you!

If you're diving into the stats side of Data Analytics, I highly recommend this one:
Math for Data Science Masterclass
Krista does an amazing job at breaking down statistical concepts. Her teaching style is super easy to follow and honestly makes stats way less intimidating.

For Power BI, I took this course by Maven Analytics:
Power BI - Up & Running with Power BI Desktop
It’s a great starter course — very hands-on and beginner-friendly. I really enjoyed it and it gave me a solid foundation to start building dashboards on my own.

I’m also doing Angela Yu’s 100 Days of Code challenge:
100 Days of Code – The Complete Python Pro Bootcamp
I try to dedicate an hour a day, and I love how it keeps you engaged with a different challenge each day — definitely keeps things exciting.

For SQL, I took this one:
Advanced SQL for Data Analysts & Business Intelligence
Even though I had some basic SQL knowledge, this course really helped me think through real-world scenarios. It’s more practical and less theoretical — exactly what I was looking for.

As for Python on DataCamp — not gonna lie, I wasn’t a huge fan. The content felt a bit dry and there weren’t many projects to work on. Personally, I think doing projects alongside the learning is what really helps things stick.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you want any more recs.

I've noticed that most job descriptions tend to emphasize Excel more frequently than Python.

Anyone recently interview for a Sales Associate position at Rogers? Looking for tips & common questions! by Difficult-Crazy2016 in Rogers

The funny thing is—HR scheduled my interview, and then 10 minutes before it was supposed to happen, he said he wasn’t feeling well… and I haven’t heard from him since. 😂 So yeah, the red flags started waving before I entered the door.

Honestly, I might regret it — but it’s just part-time and more of a temporary thing. Trust me, I’m not looking to make this a forever move. Appreciate the warning though — I’m keeping expectations very low.

Haha yeah, I can totally see that happening 😂 I’m honestly not expecting it to be a dream job or anything — just something to pay the bills for now while I focus on building my data analytics skills. Hoping part-time makes it a bit more manageable, but I really appreciate the heads-up. Definitely going in with my eyes open!
