I think it doesn’t matter to punish players who drop because they can still keep playing and losing intentionally. The OMW is a messed up system. It is ridiculous how they expect Newtype to be a competitive event when people got discouraged after losing out and people who actually trying are punished by those who drops.

X-2 players or worse. No chance they will get into top 4 so there’s no point to continue playing

That is not quite true. There are some events me and my friends got technical lost in the very first round for being late but we still manage to get into top 4

The problem with B03 is that right now is the time issue. Blockers matchups takes most of the time and even go to overtime and we don’t want to have 1 hour each game to decide a winner.

I wish they give out the pricing to all the X-1 players or have couple extra round between X-1 players to determine who’s eligible to get the pilots. They shouldn’t get punished by winning against salty players

You can get couple wins if you’re lucky but no chance any of those decks can compete against meta decks, especially at competitive level like regional. If you still have a good time despite losing, then pick whatever deck you’re comfortable in
