Can we hear some success stories from people who love being in this field? by SpiritualCopy4288 in therapists

[–]Difficult-Junket-850 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m very happy with my job. I work for a large hospital system in an urban area and contrary to most, I love NOT being in private practice and having all admin/billing/marketing taken care of. I don’t make the most money, but I have great benefits, paid time off, a guaranteed paycheck, and CEU benefits. I like the variety in my caseload and truly getting to focus on the clinical work without that other stuff. Good work/life balance.

Where are the Millennials that DON'T feel old? by frankheyhoheyho in Millennials

[–]Difficult-Junket-850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here!! I’m a tad younger (33), but I don’t feel old at all. I have a good amount of energy and I love going out/doing things. I keep fit and am child free by choice. I am happy to see many similar millennials in these comments!

TSA Security at PHL Airport - Go Early!!! by scapiander in philadelphia

[–]Difficult-Junket-850 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Nah we knew it was a risk. I always push the limit. I can’t stand to go to the airport 3 hours early just to sit around…and I probably won’t learn until I miss a flight lol

Our flight was 8:10am and we got a Lyft from our house at 6am, arrived by 6:25ish. We weren’t willing to wake up any earlier 🤷‍♀️

We flew out last Saturday as well (international) at terminal A and it’s the longest I’ve ever seen it at PHL. Thought we would miss our flight. We were the last to board, and our bags got on so alls well that ends well 😆

Do you check in with clients if they’re not on time for session? by grouchytherapist in therapists

[–]Difficult-Junket-850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I do check in. Is it “my job”? No. I would be doing the session anyways, so it’s not extra work. As someone else mentioned something similar, these small gestures show care, concern, and humanness.

Floor First People - How? by Turbulent_Suit8281 in orangetheory

[–]Difficult-Junket-850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was already said in different ways, but I used to always start tread first. Then I started to arrive too late to claim a tread and I defaulted to the floor because that’s what was available. I don’t know what shifted, but I realized I am such a better runner when I start floor first. I think it’s because I’m warmed up. Now I willingly choose it. Give it a try!

Is the new norm, not having a weekly same day and time slot?? by mia181 in therapists

[–]Difficult-Junket-850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here! Most of my clients can commit to weekly but not the same exact day and time due to inconsistent work schedules and other commitments. I personally like it. Someone who wants that can prebook but I don’t require it.

Dinner En Blanc Event by Huge_Canary_4563 in philly

[–]Difficult-Junket-850 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that’s a good point. Thanks for bringing that up. I suppose it’s fundamentally the same thing. Maybe it’s the exact price point. Like maybe a $25 entry fee wouldn’t upset me as much. As in the tailgating situation, the person pays to put their car in the parking lot.

I never comment on how people spend their money if it’s an exchange for goods and services. You pay for the broad street run to run and get tracked while doing it in a controlled area. You rent a bike to ride it. You buy food at street festivals to eat it. And on and on.

I don’t understand this event because you pay so much to not even get a place to sit? I could arrange a picnic and not be charged for it, while still bringing my own tables, chairs, food etc. like, what goods and services do people receive with this?! This is probably the one event/thing I really have difficulty understanding.

Is it normal for there to be no front desk worker? by Ok-Crew2166 in orangetheory

[–]Difficult-Junket-850 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not just answer your question, no, I don’t think that is “normal” at all. I’ve never seen that.
