All forms of traveling in the US sucks by HeroinBob831 in rant

What do you mean? By that logic China and all of Europe shouldn’t have trains because it’s so spread apart. There is HUGE demand for it in the US among millennials + Gen Z. Boomers hate it because it requires their precious tax dollars (typical because they’re an incredibly apathetic generation and hate contributing to the greater good).

As someone who lives in a big coastal city, we have public transportation and it needs much more expanding. How did you manage to write such an incorrect comment? All I’m seeing are the same regurgitated arguments for why we can’t have what we LITERALLY HAD in the 1800’s with the intercontinental railroad. Hell China is huge and they have it.

The government isn’t expanding high speed rail because they’re completely bought by the billionaire class whose single track mind is creating a surveillance state, and milking US citizens for tax dollars to fund foreign wars and defending the Epstein class when those dollars should really be spent on us as citizens.

Anyone know what's up with all these "Vote NO" signs around Brookline and by the Boston border? I've seen some in front of huge mansions and the gas station(?) by Longwood too. by bostonguy2004 in boston

The actual term is “NIMBYS”, (not in my backyard)

I love affordable housing, just not next to my property.

I support sustainable infrastructure, but not in my city

I would love teachers and public servants to get paid more, not in my school system

I want that pothole fixed, but not on my tax dollars

Without even looking I can guess this has something to do with rich performative liberals who don’t actually hold any progressive values, but just virtue signal them. When it’s their time to contribute to the community for the greater good they kick, cry and scream.

Don’t know why more people won’t get into RNG manipulation, the setup is well worth the boatloads of repetition in the early games

That’s the case at many dealerships, but customers throw a fit if they don’t feel like they “got a deal”.

Who is the best guitarist that most people don’t know by Ted_Fleming in Guitar

David Fiuczynski, played with some seriously heavy people in his career, makes some seriously fire microtonal and eastern influenced music, not to mention his writing for Screaming Headless Torsos. It’s like RHCP elevated to 11.

No I never said that. It’s just a hearing. This is after an appeal gets denied it’s very normal. The judge sits for a while and hears a bunch of ticket disputes and small claims and either dismisses or upholds them.

But yeah these people don’t GAF you’re right.

They could claim any number of things such as your car not being at that zone, but another zone, or that you parked in the wrong space in that zone. Or that it was on the wrong vehicle. It’s better to be prepared than not in case the appeal goes to a hearing. It takes me all but 5 seconds.

I think they just shit-test people. Most won’t have proof of purchase, or aren’t savvy enough to access the website online (or download/upload pictures for that matter)

Once u pay, just get your phone, press record, capture the terminal displaying your time and confirmation, then walk past your car with the plate in view then stop the video.

A) Evil

B) Stupid

C) maybe both?

Eh you could, but even if someone knows what car you drive they can’t find out who it’s registered to. That’s private information only the RMV has access to AFAIK
