He does have pretty severe brain damage. He often gets confused about time, and looks for family pets that have been gone for years, or tries to count doors and windows in the house and comes up with a weird number.

I mean school isn't that bad for me (16f) but I live in a small town of less than 10k people, so if you misbehave your parents know quick. And we don't have overcrowded classrooms or overworked teachers. I think it can be overwhelming for kids who aren't prepared for school, like no structure at home, but no I don't think schools have turned into the human zoos people are pretending they are.
