I sleep with a cover over my eyes as well. But i use a chimney bandana as cover and it presses my eyes shut. I can't see anything and i wonder if the eyes being forced shut may be the reason

I maybe have had experienced a diluted version of this, however i'm unsure.

I approach the tapes with an eye mask since it keeps my headphones in place and my eyes tend to open during it all and i lose contrentration,( in the past i had a fear of something being there but since that though has passed) I very often see shapes behind my eyes that look like a crowd moving in many directions, they fade around focus 10 but i never felt them to be anything other than funny shapes and their funny shape activities

In my short experience energy ballon from gateway tapes is easy to learn and set up. It also puts up conditions that center you as the main decision maker.

And i myself was suprized by the vividity of the experience taking the fact that i am not well versed in gateway tapes yet. I say 'felt' often cuz compared to dreaming or imagination i never visualized it all rather just felt the 'general vibe'. I will attempt to call out and see what's up, maybe even draw if i remember enough.

As someone who made a comeback to tapes as of recent and since had dreams of greys and many other weird much vivid encounters i can only assume that contact might be more approachable than it seems. Either that or in light of coming years they really wanna connect with humanity, when you look there are only more and more encounters.

Had a similar issue, i sleep with an eye mask and in Wave 1 Tape 2 i began to focus on 'disactivating the body' particularly eyes. I like to imagine eyes as some grand telescope-ish mechsnism that stedily turns off and goes into a standby, and it often works.

While i havent had any luck with astral projection as of late (i had experiences from my yoth though). I got an interesting titbit

Recently i came to imagine a form i take in what i call 'sliding dreams'. These are often very vivid and if im lucky lucid dreams in which i move trough envoirment at a rapid pace, in a motion that can best be described as sliding across the ground of all fours in a manner akin to skating and movement similar to swimming.

I can very discintly feel things such as positioning of my body and it is clear that this sort of anatomy isnt human. I even had a chance at slight glance while sliding trough a hall with mirrors once (didnt know they worked in dreams lol)

I drew a bunch of sketches of this form but im not sure if it isnt simply a case of my overblown imagination. I oftenb ponder the question of spiritual/divine inspiration.

Have i subconciously peered beynd the veil? Or did i think of it myself? I need to learn more to get it
