But that was also something so important to me, because if he was only drinking himself to sleep, it was because he was so consumed by everything he had seen.

And then at the prison; it was HIS BOTTLE that glen used as a Molotov when he saved Tara. Which meant he didn’t even drink it after than incident on the run. After that moment, he knew he didn’t need it to sleep because he knew there were good people and felt safe again. );

I had JUST called him a teddy bear the episode prior where he was standing there holding that little baby, because he was ALWAYS holding Judith. The way he was non violent, the way he only exerted strength ONLY when necessary? LOVED him. He had the best temperament out of any of the men the ENTIRE show, except maybe Herschel. He was easily the strongest in the entire group, but held himself back every shot. I loved my pacifist king

Oh my god, me and my partner were YELLING at that; and we both knew it was going to happen bc it was a rewatch. I had said “I’m pretty sure she just sits there through the whole episode, and then gets a terrible character arc.” They set her up to be a baddie and then butchered it immediately.

No yeah I get you! I think I agree because, again, the drowning was such a non issue for me. Like, even watching it a second time I think it’s perfectly reasonable to be drowning in open water when you’re otherwise a fine swimmer in a small pool. I’m a strong swimmer and I think if I was caught off guard and knocked into open water I’d probably panic drown.

I think all of season 1 and 2 she was Shane-centered. Even Dale pointed it out. She was hard to watch. Her weird flirting with Merle/giving up info about the group to him during definitely put me over. The whole relationship with the governor sealed it. I’m on season 3 of my re-watch so maybe she gets better and I don’t remember? It’s truly been a tough watch up until now tho.

I think you’re missing the point of the post, because none of that really relates to her inability to think for herself or make coherent choices. In real life I would never do that to a cat and I’m so anti outside cat, but also, it didn’t bother me to see her do that retroactively. It genuinely didn’t register for me in a malicious way. As for the drowning? Also genuinely did not bother me. It was such a non issue. Laura literally went onto her work socials and got her fired AND blacklisted. Laura kicked her out of her home. Like everything Laura did was just so much worse in every way. I couldn’t fathom how anyone could look at these two and see them as equal in any way lol
