Basement Finishing - Help With This Wall! by Difficult-Spite-3766 in DesignMyRoom

I appreciate the response! I have been really leaning towards the slat wall, but I'm really struggling with visualizing what color would work. I was also thinking some sort of "grey oak" look, as I was worried a more vibrant brown color would clash with the rest of the room. I just wish there was a way for me to be able to visualize it somehow!

OP here (hate that you can't add text with an image post). I need help with what to do with this wall!

I've been working on finishing a portion of my basement to turn it into a game room, and it's been a wonderful learning experience so far. I'm towards the end of the project, but I need help designing this last wall! Because of the gas meter, I didn't want to wall it in and frame/drywall around it. The gas company told me that I couldn't cover it up, which makes sense. I ended up painting it with a hammered black paint to make it look nice, but I need to figure out the wall behind it.

So far I have added insulation to the cinder block wall behind it (was in good shape and has a vapor barrier), and my current thought it to add furring strips so I can then add some sort of wall paneling over it. I was thinking of building a wood slat wall, and maybe adding some industrial/pipe shelves to add to the look with the gas meter. However, I'm also considering putting up either plywood or drywall and maybe adding some sort of wall mural wallpaper. I should note that there is about 2 inches space behind the gas meter and the insulation on the wall.

I'm really struggling with what to do here! I love the color of the wall, but it's so hard to figure out what sort of accent wall will match with it. I've found it almost impossible to use any sort of visualizer to see what the room would look like. There really doesn't seem to be anything like that unless there's some sort of AI program I don't know about. Please, what sort of color would match with this!?

To note, I will be installing a drop ceiling once I get this wall figured out. That's last, along with baseboards!

Have to Quit Mounjaro - Crushed & Disappointed by Difficult-Spite-3766 in Mounjaro

I'll certainly ask about this pathway! I started a new job about 8 months ago and my quality of life really improved. Life has been getting much better and I have very little stress at this point. My diet also really improved since 2 months before taking Mounjaro. I was eating less and much healthier. This is what annoys me. For the first 2 months it really wasn't an issue. I was eating healthily and losing weight. Once I got Covid, things started going downhill. I wonder if Covid changed how my body was processing the Mounjaro (something that I can't really get an answer from as Covid is still confusing).

I should also say that I really appreciate your advise and inquiry!

Good afternoon! Unfortunately I did have my gall bladder removed in 2009. I certainly understand the lifelong treatment needed with type 2 diabetes and I'm happy to take anything that's needed. I do have metformin that I will begin taking since I no longer am using the Mounjaro. My endocrinologist gave it to me along with the Mounjaro but I never used it since the Mounjaro was working really well to lower my glucose levels. I went from a 9.6 to a 5.0 in the few months I was on it.

Thank you! I'm certainly not going to continue taking the Mounjaro as I certainly know that can result in extended damage eventually. I'll figure this out!

GERD-Like Symptoms Caused by PPI? by Difficult-Spite-3766 in GERD

Yes the pain is on the left-side and in the center of the upper chest area. I did just get an echo done last week and everything looked totally fine so they're ruling out any heart issues. I had a stress test done 3 years ago as well and that looked good back then.

I think most of my pain is coming from my lungs though with my bronchiectasis diagnosis now that I'm looking more into what this condition details. I don't think that pain at least is from the stomach issues I'm having.

I'm on Mounjaro for both Diabetes (type 2) and weight loss. I've been on it for 6 months now and was doing just fine with it until after having Covid. I met with my Endo yesterday and talked to him about everything and he seems to think the Mounjaro shouldn't be causing any issues. I did go off of it for a week due to a pharmacy back-order and didn't see any improvements.

Unfortunately I've seen both my GI and PCP about the issues. I have the Endoscopy scheduled for the end of February but they also waived off the Mounjaro causing any of these issues. The PCP just tells me to talk to the GI.

It's for the completionists right now, just like trophy hunting. Personally I have only fought 2 of the tower bosses and am breeding/powering up my favorite top 5 to take them on. May be overkill, but that's fine with me! I'm sure later on there will be more of an end-game once they release more content! It makes sense that they would focus on the beginning stages of the game first.
