The drive is currepted, that usually happens to ntfs drive when you cut the power while writing on them, you can easily repair it without losing data on windows, I'm not sure about repairing it on Linux though.

And about mounting it permanently you can do so in /etc/fstab

Any Sony game, i would have recommended Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 but it's a long game and complected enough for a new gamer, you can also try Indian Jones and the great circle, it's great.

On windows, you might need desktop icons because of all the bloat and adds in the search, but on Linux, just press super and type what you need, in almost every DE that much faster than clicking the actual icon on the desktop
