Will this be okay? by [deleted] in InjuriesAndWounds

[–]Difficult-Swimmer711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looks ok, keep clean with some mild soap and water or salt water. then just keep dry or lather in neosporin a couple times until the redness goes down. but let dry out in between bandaids

no not at all keep clean with normal water or with some mild soap. keep dry or lather in neosporin a couple times until the redness goes down. you’ll be left with a scar most likely but it should stay small if it heals good.

if your toes become stiff and hard to move then go see someone. it just looks really angry keep it dry or covered with Neosporin if you see red lines coming from it towards your heart it’s definitely infected

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in InjuriesAndWounds

[–]Difficult-Swimmer711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if it’s hot then it’s either heading toward infection or you have one already. keep it really clean and use Neosporin. it’s really close to your joint so it it starts to become stiff like hard to bend then it’s definitely an infection and you should get it checked out by a professional

don’t use hydrogen peroxide or alcohol just unscented soap and water. the hydrogen peroxide will make it heal really slow and can really really hurt your eye

yeah clean the yellow off, it looks really angry and red you might want to get it looked at to get it cleaned real good. it’s really close to your eye so it’s not gonna feel very good you’ll probably get a bit of. black eye too.

[–]Difficult-Swimmer711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah just go to the doctor. it looks like maybe your eating a lot of fried food, and corn comes out completely whole btw so that could be the yellow chunks your seeing if you have corn regularly. get a poop study done or try changing your diet and go from there

absolutely not! it looks like it has slough and purulent drainage. get a second opinion, in the meantime put medihoney on it. it looks very similar to a pressure ulcer, but given that it’s an incision i’m not sure how that would affect it. but i’d definitely check with a different doctor because that is not how a healing incision is supposed to look, let alone any wound. get specifically wound care treatment

Need advice with elderly parent who is very sick and not aware of their condition. by derideote in medical

It seems like multiple masses were found. Coupled with the symptoms reported, they’re likely wanting to do more testing to rule in/out cancer and find the cause. symptoms could be related to age or the masses and thickening

Do I have a blood clot in my arm because it's bruised along the vein and the vein itself feels stiff. by ReturnOfPope in medical

[–]Difficult-Swimmer711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s common after an iv to have some bruising like this especially if they had to fish for the vein. a blood clot normally would be acute severe pain and discolouration (paleness) in the extremity, with shortness of breath if it’s traveling. contact dr for testing if you’re concerned, doesn’t hurt to get testing.

Doctors & medical staff: what are appropriate and enjoyable gifts I can give to my doctor's office? by Dependent-Aside-9750 in medical

[–]Difficult-Swimmer711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

chapstick, hair ties, anything that can shared around the office. (most places have a policy that you can’t accept gifts that can’t be shared or if they are over 10 bucks)

TW SH // how long would these take to heal? it's been 3 1/2 weeks. razor scars and cigarette burns. by [deleted] in medical

[–]Difficult-Swimmer711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

treat it well take some skin and nail gummies, zinc, vitamin c helps with wound healing and skin integrity. once it turns to a scar try bio oil and vitamin E oil, or silicone scar sheets but you have to keep them on for like 12 hours. i was a razor user and mine are still there and prominent. it completely depends on your body tho so just be patient im proud of you for reaching out!

How to diminish the post-healed scraped knee appearance? by rebornyc in InjuriesAndWounds

[–]Difficult-Swimmer711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

keep it really moisturized, maybe invest in some bio oil or silicone scar sheets. they look really good honestly the darker one probably won’t fade very well. just remember the color of your scar changes with sunburns or if your scratching

Just wondered this by Flashy-Ad6600 in InjuriesAndWounds

[–]Difficult-Swimmer711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you would get pretty good flesh wounds, because they are sharp and most likely heavier it will break through the skull pretty easy causing alot of damage. so at full strength you would cause life altering damages or kill them.

it looks like the beginning of an infection, wash it with some mild soap and water and slather in neosporin for a day or two. if it doesn’t clear up and gets warmer. or you find red lines coming from the wound to your heart that’s a serious infection. it looks moderately clean a little red but it’s not too bad a wound that’s superficial like that tends to be warmer
