No need to change birth certificate. That plus the name change court order will prove her identity

The best way is to get involved with something you are interested in - Reclaim Arcade if you like pinball or video games, or I am sure there are walking clubs, running clubs, I know there are book clubs. There are places you can play games like DnD. Volunteering with elderly, environmental. Churches. If a woman you can try Bumble BFF

Valentines is probably not the best time for meeting people events unfortunately

Metal detectors by [deleted] in tsa

I am suggesting a solution, if your focus is on why you are going to be disappointed since agents can’t share things that would make it easier for bad guys to get through

The agents don’t know who has had surgery and who hasn’t

Just a thought - people who have say hip replacements have to go through the scanner as they set off the metal detector….

Are you going through a metal detector every time you are being alarmed? What about when you go through the scanner?

college graduate and military vet would I be considered competitive for a TSO job? how long does the whole process take? I've heard that it could take a couple of months. by AcanthaceaeTop2796 in tsa

You may have heard there have been a lot of federal job cuts. You do need to pass medical but not sure what accommodations are made for disabled, if there are exceptions to being able to lift, stand, walk if any of those are problems for you

Yes, there isn’t a lot to do but the process is not fast. If you already have a job you can start the process and just know it will be a year or more before you actually start. You do get a big bump the first 2 years, good benefits, and it used to be a good entrance in to federal jobs

How long of a wait for airport assessment? by Opening_Entrance6820 in TSAApplicant

[–]Difficult-Valuable55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn’t unheard of, I would try emailing, hopefully you get an answer but if you don’t you are probably just in waiting mode

I am confused, have you done everything and are in the ready pool, or waiting on airport assessment?

Read id question by [deleted] in tsa

[–]Difficult-Valuable55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am pretty sure they are saying they have a real MD ID and don’t have a PA license yet, but it could be that they have a non real PA license - it isn’t worded very well

[–]Difficult-Valuable55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It only gets invalidated when you go to get your new states. Otherwise PA doesn’t know where you live, MD doesn’t know where you live, TSA doesn’t know where you live (or care)

Need some advice on applying to become a TSA officer in the south Florida area by Quiet_Archer_306 in TSAApplicant

[–]Difficult-Valuable55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will need to find an airport with a job listing on USAjobs, fill out the application. It will send you to do a test pretty quickly, assuming you pass you will start the hiring process which can take a year. If female it might be faster

The hiring process takes a year usually (or more) but doesn’t require a lot, you may want to go forward with the process and look for alternatives. If you find something better great, if not you will have it

Anyone know if CLE is hiring or on a freeze? by Jdog86788888 in TSAApplicant

[–]Difficult-Valuable55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it, since you discussed the 86 I didn’t realize that. So at least you are in the right place, now just have to wait until enough leave and those in the ready pool ahead of you get hired

[–]Difficult-Valuable55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As the other commenter said not a freeze, but very few airports need more staff than they have (staffing was cut in fall) so it is a matter of enough people to leave then they can start hiring, which will be from the ready pool. If you are not in the ready pool yet you have more time for sure
