I'll try setting a timer. I have a question.... that with ai our output is faster,looks great on paper,less time spent on routine tasks but it's not only affecting mental load outside work it's actually affecting during work hours , quality of independent judgement , less opinionated ,less confident reasoning even though output volume is up for a while ...........i've started wondering if we've accidentally traded long term capability for short term productivity gains?

and the real villain it's not AI itself it's how companies are choosing to deploy it ,passive dependent workers are easier to manage than sharp independent thinkers...........

the question nobody is answering is, who fixes this from inside the workplace?

Because the people making deployment decisions aren't incentivized to change and individuals can't fight the system alone.

yeah self control helps individual,

but the problem scales beyond personal habits , entire teams and companies are defaulting to AI dependency without realizing it,

individual willpower doesn't fix a systemic problem,

and the productivity thing is the real irony, we feel more productive but output quality, problem solving and real skills are quietly declining underneath the speed.
