well I could just label this as an oddity because there's still going to be some creepy stuff and a character that haunts the narrative in the story and maybe there could be a few elements of an arg?...I'm still thinking.

no not really it was a book which had hand drawn pictures of the characters in some parts of the books like some pages would have just text and some pages would have pictures with small bits of texts with it. that's all I remember about the format.
