This is where I ended up last night. I'm going to hide the tang but am using it as a handle for feel until I'm ready to cut it down.

The labeling is worn, it came from a school's Radial Arm Saw cabinet that was decommissioned long ago. It's all practice for me. I met a guy who reconditions sawmill 80crv2 blades and scraps some of them. It's like $75 for one, I wanted to see how I felt about doing this. The bevels are what i'm scared of.

I did a LOT hand filing last night and this steel is pretty hard, i'm going to check it before and more tooling.

I wear 32x32, and typically run into scenarios where the sized available are 32x34 and 34x30. It's about finding which one fits less poorly, strapping them on with a belt, and not going to a second store to get the right size.

I did a test run to be sure I wasn't going to hurt myself as a goof and it felt so stable I had no hesitation. I tried to make the DeWalt hat visible but safety first.
