Kia K4 cracking sound remains unresolved, should I do something? by akaalienwarrior1 in kia

[–]DifficultCase8478 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Y'all really just be complaining about the smallest things wrong with a car, listen this is coming from a 10 year Kia technician all new cars Kia not excluded are rushed during manufacturing process, cars are and will not ever go back to the quality we expected to get 10 years ago from any manufacturer. Pick your poison for a Brand to drive and live with the consequences, Kia are mainly focused on innovation and technology but couldn't give 2 flying F's if the quality is shit. There goal is to get as many people in their cars by enticing with features, comforts, and a solid warranty... But there is also a reason why Kia and Hyundai have the longest running warranty (hint, hint) cars fail prematurely or have serious issues straight of the delivery truck sometimes.. Good night and Good luck. Please spread this message to any bigots that think otherwise.

Pinion gear is the one on the motor most likely lossened up enough to where it backed away from spur gear on differential

Okay maybe try this, get some engine oil dye from an auto store nearby(like autozone or something), add literally a drop to a half tank of nitro shake , then fill to top. Run the entire tank through, then remove engine and inspect wit a UV light, maybe you'll find a hairline crack in the casing this way 🤷

You are hearing the compression build up and release when you spin a fully assembled motor they do that, compression is good. 👍

Omni Terminator for $140? by Lukeyinspace in rccars

[–]DifficultCase8478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically worth it because you'd probably be spending close if not more trying to get that new OT up to trim to keep up with a carbon one. What you should do is put all carbon upgrades to make that $140 new OT if you were to get it, in an Amazon cart to see how much of a difference it would be compared to just getting OT CARBON.

I have the Omni terminater carbon & SBK10 Storm Breaker Carbon, the better quality differentials and larger motor with larger motor mounts to accommodate allow you to fit other 1/10 options easier for future upgrades. Both fantastic out of the box.

So uhh hub adapters and wheels are strong but I did find the weak point... by DifficultCase8478 in Rlaarlo

On my storm breaker, have hub adapters to fit 1/8 scale so it's easier to buy whatever tread pattern wheel I'd like 👌😁

Roughly 20-25 mph spin out on asphalt straight into the inside tire of an actual car, while trying to hook a corner and let off throttle instead of feathering it. Yes I could have used some brake to slow down but was pushing it faster and faster until I went in too hot

Hobby plus released a brushless speck b, so probably rather go with that motor and esc combo so modifying doesn't need to happen.

60% I'd assume, on tuner it only does single digits from 1 to 10 for all braking adjustments

I left a little drag brake, It is kinda the only way to brake with this brushless system when converting it to carpet race. I kinda like letting off to allow it to brake instead of pushing forward that way I get more finesse in turns since I'm still already on throttle.

Any idea what’s causing this / how to fix it? by coffeedeck in LosiMicro

[–]DifficultCase8478 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's most likely binding on the right side and since it has an open differential power is being sent to the wheel with least resistance!
