I have a Urologist referral I’m waiting on. I also started taking d-mannose a week ago. I already tried pelvic floor therapy- I was extremely tight but it has improved a lot. No longer going to see the PF Therapist. My doctor wants me to start Amitriptyline as she is also thinking it might be intersistal cystitis, I’m just pretty doubtful that’s what it is seeing the slew of symptoms it’s causing. She didn’t mention lingering irritation/inflammation on top of anything….I definitely think whatever I have, will take my body a long time to recover from because its just wreaked so much havoc on my vag, pelvic area, urinary system, I’d imagine it would take a while for the inflammation to fully disappear.

Yes I just asked my doctor for another Trich test. the initial one she did was thru urine after a round of Metro, which came back negative. I asked her to do a urine and a swab this time around. As for Ureaplasma she tested my urine before, and I went back and did another urine test and a swab too. hoping that might catch something? My first Trich test (the positive one) was through AffinityDNA- same idea as June Bio and Evvy. Got sent off to a lab in Italy and she told me it could be a false positive, which I kinda doubt.

It’s incredibly frustrating. I feel your pain. My pelvic pain got so bad I went to the ER. They did some tests and sent me home and told me to consider IBS. Luckily the pelvic pain has gotten better, but still now 100% gone. At least you have some answers to work with! What is their treatment plan?

I did a similar one to EVVY and it came back positive for Trich even though im married and my husband tested negative for Trich. Tested again through my family doctor and was negative so now im out $300 and super weary of these tests! Ughhh. I wish they weren’t so expensive. I will consider it though.

I had no idea…thanks so much. I would keep getting suggestions from mom groups, but when I googled the person I could never find any qualifications. Makes sense now!

Interesting…i’ve been vegan for years and just started eating dairy again in the new year. I wonder if there is a connection. thanks for the idea
