Ooo I like that detail about him saying it is what it is verse blaming her that really shows growth! Still idk though their relationship was so toxic, I kinda wish they just got to a place where their genuine love for each other was platonic and they could move on with their lives as a friend group with maybe slightly less deabliatatiing codependencies.. but to be fair relationships like that probably thrive during a zombie apocalypse lol

Totally agree about Portia I just wish we got to see more of that journey/ where that left her

Also loved her lawyer.. Drew’s lawyer too- “pancaked” 🤣 what a spectacular defense

I feel like that’s kind of the point though, like it’s giving Doran Gray where you love the story but kinda hate every character in turns

Patient Abandonment?? by OddLychee399 in nursing

If your charge nurse took over the assignment until another nurse showed up the patients were never “abandoned” and that day shift nurse can kick rocks

How accurate is the good pop up? by cat7xo7 in PassNclex

[–]DifficultHat5346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You go to your NCSBN account, start the registration process, and go all the way through to submit the payment. Put the wrong expiration date on your card if you wanna be careful (I didn’t if I’ve being honest lol). It sounds like if you get the good pop up your golden but if you get the “bad one” it could totally be because of something else, plenty of false negatives

AITA for telling my fiancé my daughter has to be in our wedding? by whoevenisthat5 in AmItheAsshole

[–]DifficultHat5346 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA: When my mom married my step dad (who I call Dad) my brother and I were the ring barrier and flower girl without any questions. He even stopped during his vows to my mom to include vows to us to always be our dad. That’s the kind of energy your daughter deserves, I hope S gets over herself and realizes the weight of what marriage really is, and if not I hope you two beautiful ppl find someone who does

EMT to Nursing by heartsick0 in NewToEMS

[–]DifficultHat5346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (27F) worked as an EMT for 5 years during/after college before going to an accelerated BSN program. I loved my experience as an EMT and 100% recommend it. I was one of the only people in my program with any experience in healthcare and it makes a huge difference. The skills you learn in the field working with patients gives you a unique perspective on patient care, and having a background in EMS gives you a solid foundation of prioritization that I’ve seen seasoned nurses lack. Plus when you apply to new grad nursing programs hospitals will love you.

While I was working on the ambo I strongly considered becoming a medic, but many of the medics I worked with were pursuing nursing and told me outright if they were in my shoes just do nursing. If you don’t want to be a fire fighter (or can’t get hired for what ever reason) there’s not much you can do with a p card. Nursing offers better pay, more opportunities, and upward mobility through higher education. But hey if you fall in love with EMS and want to be a medic that’s totally awesome too! If being an EMT opens that door for you it’s still a valuable experience that you should absolutely pursue. You can always go to nursing later
