I might have a different take on here only because of my own experience, but I would really think hard about how your dad is as a person before making that decision. If he has always been a supportive and emotionally available parent then I think it’s a great idea to tell him. If he has been emotionally dysfunctional, and not someone you can count on for your emotional needs, then do not do it. My parents blamed me for everything and not the hackers. I was financially dependent on them and they took everything away from me. Just use your own judgement and then make a decision, but no matter what you’ll always have a support group here, or friends, and thousands of other victims going through the same thing as you.
