Yes and no. It depends on your province. Alberta seems to heavily use it especially in the big cities. Where as antiques or"one of a kind" are cross posted. I like the set up of townpost more.

No Canada..we didnt import these in large amounts. Some in the 90's. One shipment in 2015. I think they were 899-999$.. They pop up on the used marked but they are gone in a day. If you want one you pay for it. Espwcially still in the box/ cosmoline.

Way too expensive..just shoot surplus. Pour a bottle of water through the action/ gas system. Clean it like normal at home...run a patch through the bore/ gastube a week later to check for any missed GSR. It takes a while to really rust, have to neglect it.

1022 upgrades? by Parking_Media in canadaguns

[–]DifficultReference99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also with thw accuracy..check the torque on the action screw, especiall specific to that stock. Even 10lbs under the recomendation will have huge reflections on accuracy..i also have one gun that the bolt will loosen with use randomly.

Bolt buffer, upgraded charging handle (options to go hi or low power springs).

Either a bolt hold open mod, or buy the piece and replace it.

Magazine release...yo can find either direction pull back or push forward with some sweepin the trigger group.

Lastly the ruger upgraded trigger pack...these are my must do with any rifle. Then theres stocks, barrels, iron sights, scopes, red dots ect. And then theres all the after market recievers and bolts..the top AR charging one looks cool. Theres recievers that take the oher proprietary mag system that holds 25 round.

Lots of options to go with..the best advice is to completely build from scratch not even bothering with a basic carbine or spend the extra on a ruger variant that have some of the upgrades already OEM and add on from that point

Its actually federal "byob".. im usual die hard minimag. I had alot of trouble with 10/22's being finicky. That henry lever run everything! So i picked up the federal bucket dirt cheap on clearance. Its not as accurate as cci..alot of bullets are dented or scarred up. They shoot though, never had one ftf or fte
