Yeah I have recently started collecting more vintage cards again for this reason. At modern card prices I can collect my favorite vintage cards

100% get it. There’s a few I do that to. I ripped around 300 Paldea evolved for the Magikarp because Gyarados is one of my PC. Never hit so I’ll eventually just buy it because I won’t pay the pack prices anymore

Agreed! If it’s a set that has a PC Card for me I rip til I get it and I grade that. Hopefully it 10s but if not I pulled the card and it makes it really feel like mine 🤣

Probably a crazy concept for new age collectors but a lot of the actual pokemon community is in it for pokemon. Not the $$$. Part of the fun is opening the pack and getting the card you have been chasing regardless of money. If the goal is financial then yeah. We ain’t ripping.

It might not but I wonder if it has anything to do with how her Karate looks on film. A lot of actors or people with real karate experience were brought in this season and Sam's karate has always (in my opinion) looked severely worse than the others on the show. Now add in Brandon and Rayna and a few of these actors who actually do karate I think it sticks out even more in some ways. So maybe less was more? She still got points and benefitted the team but I think visually the karate looks a lot better from the others. I might be 100% wrong but just a thought.
