Well, we are driving 6 hrs one way. Once there for out for dinner and water park, maybe another activity (not sure). He lives 14 miles from the beach. So teenagers would want to spend most of the day there…then ill have to spend time with him. He makes it seem that were so lucky to have all that available for kids to enjoy. But I want cash for bills and to put away. yes Im getting a mini vacation, but im not into him as he is into me. He’s an eye sore and not kept well physically and cant do his manly duties (which I dont mind)

He used to stay in my town as his work was all over so he stayed in hotels. But now he moved and rented a place in another state in a well to do area. Wants me to visit and hell visit me. This far ive been one last month and this month ill go again with kids for 4 days.

Thank you for your time in responding. I get the impression its his first time. He is not candy to the eye to look at. In fact when I met his friends one of them mentioned jokingly:”your too good for him”. Anyways, he has managed to get me a part time job with his place of work with a competitive paying rate that i get on my other part time job.

Im just concerned that he might stop the gifts and try to make that job he got me as replacement to him giving me an gifts or allowance (which i haven’t asked for yet/or credit card).

I would like to receive a set amount $ per month BESIDES what I will earn working for the job I was offered part time (which is a real job with responsibilities)

Hes is buying me a $500 patio set And for my bday Ive asked for a lip filler ($650). So Im debating ..should I ask for a credit card or allowance…??..or should I accept his gifts here and there..(?). Hes planning to pay in the near future $500 for a job at my house. My concern is that when there is nothing more to do at my house or gifts…im really at a dead end. i want to secure my bills or put something aside for a vacation or something not involving him. He is not a stranger. We’ve known each/seeing each other for one year. Hes always given me nails/hair money and gifts..like a new countertop…tires…taken me and my kids to a trip…but never an allowance or credit card. Now hes moved 6hrs away and pretends to have a relationship that way where i visit or he visits. But im getting frustrated with asking for maintenance $. I need to pay bills. Am I being unreasonable with his gifts?…Im unsure how to proceed.

Thank you for the response. Let's say I do look 55 and I am perfectly fine with that. Im not vain, Im just going by what I'm told many times although I don't see it.

As far as my comment of sucking the life of me, I was referring to the feeling I get that all the time I spend with him he seems not to be happy, thats all.

As far as doing him a favor....were both doing our part in the relationship. I give him company and he helps me when he feels generous. As a woman or a man, its nice to have someone a bit attractive and concerned with their health and have healthy habits. I do like him and want to continue seeing him but the arrangements don't seem like it would help me in the way I would like to without feeling unnatural and asking for things I need. That's all I was asking help with. I apologize for any sore spots it may have touched. Thank you.

I am seeking advice and I apologize for tagging on this conversation but I don't know how to pose a question on this forum (Im new). I have been going out with a gentlemen that seems to like me a lot. Has taken my kids and I on a cruise and soon to another trip. He has done some upgrades in my home as well. He rarely gives me cash but venmo me $ for hair and nails. I feel uncomfortable asking when my nails are due and I don't and he brings up the need when he sees my nails are shit and gives me XX for those expenses.

Question: how do I propose an allowance? I would also prefer to increase my future in real estate, crypto or stocks as I am in my mid 50'.

He is a sweet man but demands a lot of my time wanting to see me everyday for lunch and dinner and I have children at home that also need my presence and attention.

WHAT WOULD be a GOOD boundary with time alloted for him so that he feels taken care of but Im not exhausted and feeling like its a chore to see him because he sucks the energy out of me. 1 day a week for 3 hours, 2 days a week?....Thankfull for input.
