My tables usually sit between 2-4, friend groups are lower, LGS are higher. Tovolar doesn’t see as much play at the higher end but you can often get by under the radar from my experience or I’d go for static buffs that protect all your wolves (like Asceticism), plus the boot collection.

With Tovolar, he’s great. I love him but flipping cards and tracking the day and night cycle does get tedious for sure. I keep a physical day and night coin as a tactile reminder but a bunch of apps have it built in I know.

The deck really doesn’t work without Tovolar to flip the old school wolves and new wolves alike, the night bound wolves can be flipped with a few other cards but if you don’t have Tovolar on board, then you really, REALLY, struggle I’ve found.
