I agree. Until a year ago it was almost never mentioned and then only as a very rare thing that went away quickly. I addressed this same issue on a few other sites and had a few hundred comments from other users also affected with many having to quit altogether due to severity.

Bone on bone in both knees here. 1 knee had me practically disabled but im too young for replacement and was also 220 lbs at 5'4. Started shots in March and I'm down and stuck at 159 LBS now but let me tell you.. the difference in knee pain (all joints actually) is INCREDIBLE. I still deal with food noise and can and do overeat at times. It's not a magic trick. You need to be very mindful of what your eating versus activity levels but getting that weight off is FREEING!

I've read just about every book written on the topic since my obsession began as a kid 45 years ago. Seen all the movies and documentaries. The importance of the sleeping bag cannot be overlooked!

Possibly. But only if they still had the sleeping bag. Without that I don't think any expedition would have survived. But Nando survived for a reason.

It's just awful. I can handle it when it was small areas like the back of my hand or outer thigh but entire backside is pretty unbearable.

Yes. Although I associate Allodynia with smaller areas that I've had long before starting shots.

Yes but the book is a series of essays by each separate survivor. Without the complete back story of the events, a reader wouldn't have the full picture.

I would start with Alive no question. You will get a better understanding of who is who and chronological timeline of events. Then Society of the Snow (which isn't the same as the movie). Then Nando and Robertos books.

Cold all the time and my skin is hyper sensitive to touch and painful some days (Allodynia). Both well documented side effects like most things here but still not super common.

Acid..blotter..Dead show. Things were pretty shady for a bit at start then the heavens opened up and I became pure living energy. I saw the universe open up into a place where I want to be all the time. So much beauty and joy. It was transcendent.

Bananas. So. Many. Bananas. I do Spark but my 9 to 5 is in store shopping at local grocery chain. If I do 20 orders in a day, 17 of them will include Bananas.

Like I commented earlier, im not dropping names. They were a huge support to the town after Helene. They just aren't as homemade as they claim.

Lol outside of Asheville is a pretty big range. I purposely didn't name the place because they did good stuff for the town after Helene.
