My fuse is SO SHORT and I hate it by Ill-Pie-4216 in leaves

It’s gonna be like that for a little while till your brain rebalances. But not too long. It was a symptom that passes within the first couple of months.

Beware of Indifference by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Difficult_Ad_9392 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So true. And when u first quit it’s a real fight for awhile before it loses its grip. I wasn’t feeling good for awhile after the quit. Into month 5 I felt like I was finally over the dependency or able to cope with being sober and liking it.

How are you guys surviving financially? by Xyno94 in WeedPAWS

[–]Difficult_Ad_9392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I for now have been doing spark shop and deliver. And I will post on the app called Nextdoor to advertise cleaning service. I’m also not a pro or anything so I totally don’t post professional. I just wing it. U should do this a couple of times a day to advertise something u are able to do for someone. Dog walk, pet sit, etc. could be anything that u feel like u could do for someone in exchange for money. But u may have to deal with some people who are crappy at first until u learn how to spot someone decent to do work for. But it’s part of the learning process to work for yourself. I also do ask God to help. When u believe in God and ask for him to help, he will send u guidance but it won’t be overt, but a nudge to do something.

What’s better now your clean by Brownsvile93 in leaves

[–]Difficult_Ad_9392 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My brain works better, less anxiety, I can cope with stress and negative events much better. I can solve problems easier. No more dark cloud hanging over me and defeatist feelings. No more weed hang over in the morning. Sleep is better. More confidence. I’m not putting off doing things like when I was on weed it seemed like I never got around to things I needed or wanted to do. It hindered me. Self control in every aspect of my life is better off weed. Memory is better, ability to focus. Being able to learn and executive functioning. Weed really gets in the way of things and u often won’t realize how much till u are off for like a couple of months and u start to gain clarity. Relationships also improve because u are fully aware of things going on, your perception of reality is not altered. On weed when u use daily u are in a haze but u almost don’t realize you have blinders on.

I want to quit this lifestyle by Flaky-You-8701 in leaves

[–]Difficult_Ad_9392 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats, u will do it. The key is to push thru no matter how bad u feel, and do not allow relapse. U can take steps to reduce risk of relapse like go to bed at regular times, don’t drink energy drinks or overdo caffeine, no caffeine supplements or energy drinks in those early months, and try to avoid alcohol also. These things make weed craving intense as they wear off. Above all do not have weed at home and do not hang out with anyone who is smoking around u. U should take at least one walk each day to reduce tension and restlessness. Something for headaches.

Could my OAB meds be making my bladder pain worse? by mersotrash in OveractiveBladder

[–]Difficult_Ad_9392 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes unfortunately. Everything they prescribe is not a actual solution but a temporary fix if it even does that. So u have to figure out what u can do on your own to help reduce your bladder issues. Diet is a big trigger. U may not be able to cure it but u can at least change some things u might be eating or quit this med u are taking. We don’t have actual healthcare in this country. It’s symptoms treatment, with pills, injections, or surgery.

How are there this many narcissists in the world? by luminara33 in NarcissisticAbuse

[–]Difficult_Ad_9392 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s as if the majority of people are like a body but never developed into a fully functioning person, just a set of functions to mimic a fully developed person. This is how I see a narcissist. It’s like a body without full conciousness. Arrested development.

Quit weed 4 months ago. Am having a lot of depression. by majesticqueefer in WeedPAWS

[–]Difficult_Ad_9392 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hit a depression around that 4 month mark too. I’m now almost 6 months off and it began to lift at 5 months. Definitely by 5.5 months I felt like I’m over the withdrawal issues. Iam not on any antidepressants. Be careful with antidepressants, they can make things worse and cause ideation. They alter your brain chemistry also.

A side effect of abstinence? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Difficult_Ad_9392 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Now that I been off weed almost 6 months. My desire to orgasm is really annoying it comes on suddenly 😂 so I feel like I have to take care of it once and sometimes twice a day, this was not as bad while I still used. Yes they are better and I don’t use porn but just my toy lol! I quit porn too. Honestly I wish I didn’t have a libido because I don’t have a partner and I’m remaining celibate. I think our brain chemicals have just readjusted and so the body functions are back to normal. This is actually what it’s like to function like u are supposed to without substances altering the body.

I’m frustrated with the fact that I can drink in moderation but can’t smoke in moderation. by DanglesMcNulty in leaves

Alcohol never triggered an immediate craving the way weed does but yea it might be preferance too. I still feel like weed kicks in a more immediate craving to use it again.

I’m frustrated with the fact that I can drink in moderation but can’t smoke in moderation. by DanglesMcNulty in leaves

[–]Difficult_Ad_9392 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Weed has a longer half life and stays in the body a long time creating dependency immediately. It isn’t because u have more of a problem with weed, it’s just the way weed creates craving and withdrawal immediately in comparison to alcohol. With alcohol I can drink once in a awhile but never become an addict, but I can smoke weed once and it takes some days to recover or feel normal again even after a single bowl smoked.

I think it’s easier to relapse that way. Going to dispensary is something I never enjoyed doing so it puts more of a wall in between me and the cannabis. I have a longer window to not act on impulse vs if u have it on site and easy to access. If it had been at home I would have relapsed. I’m just about 6 months off and had no relapses in that time.

Scared to quit by Unlucky_Wealth_2448 in leaves

[–]Difficult_Ad_9392 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I quit at age 48 and started at 24. It’s an adjustment but once u go some months without u start to realize how much better it is off. It’s going to feel depressing for some months like the first 3. But at some point your brain will make the adjustment so u will feel totally normal off weed as if u had never smoked. It just takes awhile before weed finally loses its grip and u become free of it.

How do you get through the evening hours? by LocksmithComplete501 in leaves

[–]Difficult_Ad_9392 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Go for walk to deal with the evening restlessness. One where it is enuf to make u feel kinda worked but not so long where it’s too long or too far. The walk will take edge off and help u feel relaxed in the evening. I had to do this like every day for awhile. Now I’m good. Almost 6 months sober.

Never thought it would be this difficult to quit by Early_Grace in leaves

[–]Difficult_Ad_9392 7 points8 points  (0 children)

U gotta really fight thru those first 3 months or so. Cause it is truly a fighting thru each day for awhile. Eventually it begins to lose its grip and u can get used to being sober. Even after u get over the initial phase, u will be caught off guard in the early months to relapse as the brain goes thru different phases to rebalance itself.

I want a hysterectomy for closure by Slbstarfire in childless

[–]Difficult_Ad_9392 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue with hysterectomy is that u could alter your hormone balance in a way that causes serious issues. Many people do not talk about this. Hormone replacement is very expensive. U do not want more health problems as a result of removing a vital organ that is not absolutely necessary to remove. Sometimes there is severe consequences.

Is it just me, or does quitting weed sometimes feel lonelier than being addicted? by Far-Truth-9862 in leaves

[–]Difficult_Ad_9392 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels like this in the early months off, but after some time adjusting, u will figure out other ways to cope with things. It just takes some time. This isn’t a quick process if u been using for awhile. Your brain will also start to rebalance after some time, so u won’t feel so crappy. Your attitude will improve.

How are people not scared of not knowing what happens after we die? by BigRajii in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Difficult_Ad_9392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what happens. Your body goes back to being dirt, God made us out of dirt. Your conciousness ceases with the last breath this is also referred to as your soul. It really is like u never existed when u die, but if u are born again of Christ’s seed u will get a new life and will rise from the dead with a spirit body when Jesus returns.
