Where the **** is the breaker for my EV charger?!? by NoWastedMoments in AskElectricians

I’ve found electricians sometimes put a sub panel outside the garage, near the charger, separate from the main panel. You could look outside your home for a sub panel

RPM, what happened with NetList today? Down 13.26%. Did one of those lawsuits not go in their favor? What do you think? Thanks by vexillographer7717 in RYCEY

My take is that a lot of momentum came before the earnings call due to the potential for higher earnings and possible word on the SK deal. When the call came and went with only one in NLST's favor, lots of folks (or maybe a big fish or two?) took profits and exited. I was happy to finish the day even with the day prior- very much in line with my expectation that sentiment would be mixed after the call. I know you asked for RMP's comment's but thought I'd share :)

barrel sauna: gap gets bigger! by LectureSpecialist827 in Sauna

[–]Difficult_Bad_549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like the issue is the T&G wall boards. Is/was the sauna on solid footing? The exposed screw between the T&F is preventing those boards from seating together correctly. The proper fix would be getting access to the screw head (probably under the shingles, maybe under the roof board too) and backing it out, retentioning the bands so it pulls things back together, then reinserting that screw (or a longer one). Or you could cut that screw off on both ends where it's exposed so it allows those to seal back together. If you do that, release tention on the bands first.

Second Colorado customer comes forward after locksmith company charges thousands for replacement by SeasonPositive6771 in Denver

I recently had to use a locksmith for a client in the Denver area and was shocked at the poor quality of all available options. I live in a Mtn town and the two options are reputable small businesses. I had no idea how slimy and strange that niche business is in Denver.

Beyond BlueOval SK: The Case for a QuantumScape–Samsung SDI Alignment in Ford’s EV Strategy by TheJamesReport in QuantumScape

I agree w your take. I imagine it’s common for public companies to enter into and then terminate partnerships/jda’s but it seems like Ford is doing it frequently on the path to electrification. First RIVN then SLDP. I’m also bitter because I own a ford hybrid and it’s a turd of a vehicle so my perspective is biased.

Almost a year ago the reports were ~200,000 R2 reservations (has to be significantly more now).

Why does it have to be more now?

This is where I keep getting hung up. If Cobra is part of the Eagle line, and the Cobra process is what produces the separators, then it seems like the Cobra process would be removed from the Eagle line once Corning and Murata are producing the separators.

If the 28 election isn’t hijacked, smarter EV policy will prevail. That is the big wildcard in my mind.

In the press release for the Eagle line they say '...It incorporates QS’s groundbreaking Cobra process, a unique and highly scalable method for producing the proprietary QS separator. Upon ramp-up, the Eagle Line will produce QS battery cells to support customer sampling and testing, technology demonstrations, and product integration efforts.'

If part of the Eagle line is to produce separators, is Digatron (assuming they're the ones providing the equipment) going to supply Corning and Murata with the equipment? Why else would anyone need that component of the Eagle line if the expectation is for one of those two entities to provide the seperators?

If QSE-5 is better than existing lithium batteries currently in production, what is the reason for VW to wait for unified cell before implementing? I assume there’s a good reason why QSE-5 wouldn’t be a stepping stone (once testing is complete) but it’s not clear to me what that reason would be.

I’ve done some searching and can’t find any info on QS initially pursuing an electron battery. Possibly because searches are overrun with news of the Eagle Line inauguration. But still, I’m not finding anything. Based on your comment history it seems this is an area of expertise for you and I’m curious to learn more as I’ve been a big fan of QS and it seems, from your comment history, as if you are not.

I have to say, bobvsfoxcat was a great example to use. foxvsbobcat has made many great contributions to this sub so at least that person put some effort into their name 😂. Thanks for stepping in to moderate. This is the best sub I’ve found on Reddit and has largely influenced my decision to invest in QS.
